food always lovely and great value for money and the staff is brilliant nothing a problem for them i go here when i stay at my caravan and lots of other owners go also we love it and cant fault it in any way

We went for the first time a few weeks ago on a Sunday afternoon drive to Ayr. Googled best Chinese Restaurant on Tripadvisor & up popped the Lychee with fabulous reviews. Loved it so much we returned with our 3 daughters & grandson. We ate off the £7.95 for 3 courses menu & the food was amazing. The children's menu was also excellent & the wee one ate quite a lot. Everything was fresh & nicely displayed & delicious. The staff are very friendly & efficient. Will most definitely return & recommend�

Was very good meal service was excellent one of best Chinese meals we have ever had was so good we went for christmas dinner and thank you it was lovely and not rushed

The meal first class, cost superb, staffing excellent. Ambiance, delightful. The place could have done with a face lift but the most important, the food was second to none

My daughter's took me here for mother's Day I enjoyed the meal it was value for money. Staff were really friendly x

Har kau, superb- chicken satay starter, superb- sweet and sour hong kong style, massive portion and superb- chicken chow mein, superb- chicken Malaysian satay best of the lot, absolutely cracking, comes on the sizzling hot plate. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a decent Asian restaurant in aye �� ��

Had Dinner at Lychees last night as a farewell for my daughter moving to Holland. The service was very good and the food was hot when it came to the table which is what you want. We often order a takeaway from here but I have to say sitting in was a lovely change. Won't be too long before we return �

We've been going for over a year now every week and we usually love it here the waitresses are lovely and couldn't fault then however the food the last few times has been disappointing, we came in yesterday and have found the portion sizes have changed drastically to what we had previously experiences, it would seem because me and another family member had the same that they'd split The portion between us (we normally get two chicken breasts each this time only one)it was also rubbery and although my desert was fine the other three in my party was extremely disappointed the sticky toffee pudding was sliced to thinly it was if they were practicing there meat carving skills on it(meaning I've seen thicker meat slices then this pudding slices) and the chocolate cake was tiny. Hopefully this is a temporary thing as this is normally are favrite place to stop through the week xx

It took over 2hrs to get in and out usually takes 3 quarters of an hr and most of the time the staff were just standing around. Usually love this place.

Tonight's takeaway was disappointing - the sweet and sour sauce wasn't anywhere near the usual standard, so I've ended up leaving most of my dinner. Whilst my husband did eat all of his duck dish, he did say it wasn't as tasty as he's had before. Having both sat in and had takeaway before, I know this is unusual.

Love this Resturant staff are brilliant was in yesterday food was delicious except I ordered the sticky chicken wings sauce and salad was delicious but the chicken wings were dry didn't enjoy that about it everything else was excellent service is brilliant x

Food excellent only problem is time from order till food arriving think they consentrate on home delivery

Second time I have tried the restaurant.

Sadly the second time I am disappointed.



The staff were nice and drink order was quick to be taken.



We ordered a mixed starter and the rib meat was chewy. You could taste the cooking oil on the chicken satay and the spring rolls. The veg in the spring rolls didn't taste fresh.



The meat in our main courses were also chewy, fried rice was bland and dishes were served in what can only be described as a shell shapes soap dish, which was off putting. Not sure how this fits in with the restaurant?



Personally I would rather pay a couple of pounds more for quality meat and ingredients. Than the standard that was served to us.



The Staff took the main course costs off the bill for us which was good of them as we were happy to pay we were just sad the food was not enjoyable. The staff were also polite and welcoming.

First time there will not be back orderd the steak pie with fries and no veg what we got was a bowl of gavy with stew no pastry and no fries got fried veg in stead had to ask for the fries which was included on menu. But got charged for them separately also £2:50 for water lol plus the waitress could not understand what I was saying they need to employ staff that understands English and Scottish as the Scottish accent is completely different

A box of bones and carcass. It would actually be dangerous to eat! To say I was disappointed when I opened the £14 duck is an understatement! Following a call to the restaurant we were offered £7 back. Very poor customer service, a hungry family pre-Eurovision party and a mere bone for the dog!! A big "nil points" from us tonight !!
