Lovely place - called in for some nice tea and scones. Friendly staff and good value.
Fourth visit here and another fantastic break up at Mabie House hotel. This time we stayed for 2 nights and we booked 3 x rooms, all of which were lovely. We were in room 3 which consisted of a double and 2 singles which is perfect as a large family room.
Food was excellent as always and drinks were too. We considered eating out one night but the lure of not having to drive somewhere won.
All the staff are lovely and nothing is too much to ask.
Pre breakfast MTB ride around the red trail at Mabie, which if you set off about 7-7:30am you can be back for breakfast by 9am. Followed by family walks around Mabie forest and Kippford with the kids post breakfast.
Will be heading back again 2018!
Had a lovely 2 day break great hotel, room, food, and lovely people very relaxing.
My second time here and I do like it very much. A love the building, oak pannelling, lovely garden. I especially like Basil the parrot, a long term resident of the hotel. Service is great, and my only gripe is they need better food choice for vegetarians.
Had a wonderful 3 night stay at this lovely Hotel. Staff friendly and helpful and an absolute credit to Mabie House. Gorgeous food in excellent surroundings . Way exceeded our expectations . Can't wait to return
We stopped here for lunch with 30 others. Very efficient and friendly staff. Good food. Would call in again if I was in the area.
Lovely setting in its own grounds, lovely views, attractive historical building. Activities within the grounds. Food it home cooked fresh and very tasty. Large porting with light bite options, roast dinners to sandwiches, panning soup jacket potatoes, bar etc. Soup £3.95, cheese and pickle sandwiche served with side salad crisps, £5.95 opt for portion of chips £3.00 as side dish, pt shandy and a tonic water came to just short of £20 (desserts also available).
Great location on the edge of the beautiful mabie forest. Staff very friendly and food great too. Try the haggis topped with goats cheese, it is awesome.
Very nice and warm hotel. Excellent food! Friendly staff. Simple beds.
