Some more updates!
West Highland Way update - lost track of what day we are on! 4?! Maybe?! Dedicated photo uploader got her phone water damaged and had to take a day out due to blisters, hence lack of posts! Here's a couple of pics from the last couple of days 💪
No matter how hard we tried we couldnt get the full "West Highland Way" sign in, but we are on the way 💪
All set for boss man Mark's 50th Birthday West Highland Way trip. Thanks to Go Haggis for taking us down to Milngavie to meet the rest of the team before we set off tomorrow morning 💪

Date for you diary next year. This one always books up fast!
Just a short drive from us, whatever car you are in!
Highland struggles - a little too close for comfort. Thanks to the Fire Brigade for being quick to respond.
This is a superb little hotel,in a great setting. The rooms are smart, clean and comfortable and the staff excellent. The food, especially in the Purple Stag, was brilliant.I especially loved their veggie haggis balls and pasta-it sounds an unlikely combination, but is just delicious! Can't wait to go back!
One of my favorite stops on my entire West Highland Way hike. Beautiful views, friendly helpful staff, delicious dinner and great bar. Its right on the trail so even if just hiking through worth stopping for lunch.
My boyfriend and I went to the Hotel for a meal in the restaurant and the meals were outstanding. They even catered to my request to leave something out as I'm allergic to what wad in the sauce and the meal was still love. Next time we go out we are going to try the barside for meals.
Might go for meals more regularly since its only 15 minutes away from home.
The owners have done a wonderful job and the are friendly.
Mark/ Helen and the stuff what can I say !!
A huge thanks from me personaly and the members of NFD for your outstanding highland hospitality another amazing weekend .. see u again next year ..
Love that it is dog friendly. Stayed there one night (2 cabins) hubby, daughter, pooch and me. Lovely location with stunning views. Bought 3 breakfasts which were lovely cooked vegetarians and they even gave pooch some doggy biscuits and a sausage! We couldn't sit in the main restaurant with the dog but sat in tha bar area overlooking Loch Leven. Just heavenly. Will definitely be back
I camped here at the end of May and absolutely loved it. The staff are SO friendly and even though they probably see hundreds of hikers, seemed genuinely interested in chatting to everyone and finding out why they were in town. Clean facilities, good food and superb views. I will definitely be returning!
Great place to stay, very friendly and welcoming. Hotel dinner was lush and breakfast amazing.
The views from both the hotel and cabins were stunning
We stayed in the cabins for one night which were surprisingly roomy and very comfortable.
I slept like a baby after a couple of Vino's in the hotel bar I will definitely be back and would highly recommend.
Great location and in really quiet settings. Great pub food and ales in the bothy bar and a la carte meals in the purple stag restaurant. Wonderful views down the Loch and up the mountains. Clean and Comfortable rooms but no air conditioning if it's hot and muggy like it was when we went, however there's a fan in the room and the window can be left open with the fly screen across it to stop those pesky midges getting in of which there are lots. Get a midge net for your head and insect repellents if your planning on walking the area.
Great little hotel, in a wonderful location. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The meals and packed lunches were great, as were the staff. Well done, will definitely be back.
Food is great, staff cannot help more and very (wet, muddy) dog friendly. Great gin selection in the bar and the most beautiful view of mountains from the bar window. Hotel rooms are basic but clean. Will come again.
Fantastic stay in hotel whilst doing WHW, very dog friendly even had little touches like dog biscuits and water bowl at our breakfast table and in the room! Beautiful location, clean room and good food. Bar gets busy at night so glad we ate early, geared for walkers and friendly staff. Highly recommend thank you
Fantastic hotel with great hosts. It you like Whisky you will love the Bothy Bar.
Excellent!!
Stayed in one of the pods for 3 nights 3rd-6th January. Great base for exploring the area of Glencoe & Skye. Food in the bar was a good standard & the staff were great also. The pods were great and beds comfy. Toilets & showers could do with a bit of attention but I believe this is on the cards in future.
Thanks & I will stay again in future.

Came here a year and a half ago while doing West Highland way and had a fabulous welcome, overnight stay and dinner in the Bothy bar which was outstanding! Breakfast was also amazing! We now stay and run a business locally and returned last night for dinner. Being vegetarian I'm often a bit disappointed in what's on offer but I had the veggie haggis burger, chips and pickles...just delicious! Owners are very friendly too! Will def recommend to our guests!
Brilliant staff as always. Great communication via email and even better in person. Steve couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Bar staff lovely too. Dogs welcome as were soggy walkers. Only downside was the rain and midges and our sore old feet. Hardly anything the place can control :) thankyou. We will be back but next time I'll get organised sooner and book a hut. Stayed in one with you few years back and far better than my soggy midgey tent. My fault entirely for being so last minute. Were one available Friday we'd have come back rather than camcel our camping. Just can't face another tiny wet tent. Thank you thankyou. Food lovely and dad says the local beer better than Stella or kronenberg his usual choices :)
Beautiful place, very good food, awesomepeople: helpful, kind, in for a joke, making music, a game of pool or a chat... fantastic experience - will return for more!!
PS: the cabins are superb!
Rooms clean if a little dated but outstanding service from the minute we arrived. Both bar was lively and fun with good food thrown in for good measure. If in the area well worth the stop
Bothy bar is excellent for food but not kiddie friendly I'd say. Veggie breakfast in the morning turned high quality ingredients to uncutable rubber which was a shame since the bothy bar evening meal was fab - I'll give a second chance too as otherwise very friendly and clean. Omni breakfast was fine.
Stayed in the wooden huts at the back. Was hands the usual sleeping bag/ towel, just to be told only one shower was available. Disappointed to say the least, especially at the high of the season where demand for cleanliness is at a premium.
