Beautiful hotel. However no excuses for food and drink prices. £3.20 for a small bowl of chips.

Stayed here for a weekend. Not cheap, but staff worked very hard and were friendly and attentive. Full breakfast was quality over quantity - it won't carb load for a day, but it was enjoyable. Comfortable bed and spotless room.

Like lipstick on a pig! This hotel claims refurbishing but is still very poor quality. Rooms teeny ( and yes I know that's Europe!), noisy, terrible service right from the icy reception we got upon check-in. ( Shannon I do not need a lecture regarding check-in; if you were truly an international hotel you would realize that visitors fly in at all different times and would perhaps appreciate getting their room] This place is one to AVOID!!

Where to begin? Shabby? Frayed? Threadbare? Stained? All of the above and more, with regard to the furniture in the bar area. Staff helpful enough, but it is always interesting to see a couple of bar staff having a chat, while tables stacked with empty plates are lying uncleared.
The impression on walking into the bar was one of tired abandon.
The lunch menu is poor. No question. "Real" fish fingers? Really? Fish fingers? £11.50? One couple complained while we were there and the "fingers" were taken off their bill. Quite right.
Maybe the hotel will be undergoing a renovation in the near future but paying customers should not be subjected to an environment like this.
The view from the bar and conservatory is breathtaking, but enjoy the view ... don't eat or drink. Avoid at all costs. Please. You *will* be disappointed.

Quiet and calm. Perfect for a relaxing break away. Our room overlooked the old golf course which was stunning. Polite and friendly staff. Lovely food in the restaurant. Looking forward to returning.

Rooms are very comfortable, beautiful location with great views. The best thing about this hotel is the staff, they are very friendly and nothing is too much effort, they go above and beyond when it comes to customer service. Highly recommended.

After checking in, and going to our room, it was still being cleaned. We were given a complimentary drink in the bar while we waited. The room itself was spacious and clean. The next morning we had to chase up our breakfast in bed, when it arrived, it was missing food items and cutlery. The pool was busy, as it was half term, but the thermal pool (over 16's only) was very nice.

Lovely room with sea views across the golf course. Evening meal good for a hotel but nothing outstanding, breakfast traditional, generous and tasty. Highlight is the spa facilities - sitting in a hot tub in the fresh Scottish air can never be beaten.
