The MacDougall Clansman Hotel is a small, family-owned and run hotel with a two star rating from Visit Scotland. We are centrally situated at the north end of Church Street in the Old Town of Inverness. Our convenient and central location makes us an ideal choice for easy access to and from Inverness bus and railway stations, local transport and city centre attractions.
We have been offering our guests comfortable and affordable, central bed and breakfast accommodation since 1959 in a traditional Highland style.
Shops, restaurants, tour departure points and the Inverness Tourist Office are all within easy walking distance of us, as is Inverness Castle and the River Ness. We are also within walking distance of Eden Court Theatre, as well as a good selection of restaurants offering a variety of menus and styles and we are always ready to help with suggestions.

SUPERFAST FIBRE INTERNET IS HERE! Our internet access has recently been upgraded to Superfast Fibre and we are thrilled with the results. Thanks to Gary at the Inverness Computer Centre we now have wireless access points throughout the building providing superfast internet access to all bedrooms and public areas. Top speeds have reached 71Mbps giving an excellent wifi internet experience throughout the entire building, despite our 350+ year old 4′ thick stone walls!
New Year, New Website!
Our new website is now up and running, with the help of the design and build team at Hotscot in Fort William. We hope you like our new look as much as we do!
Along with the website update you can now make a reservation using our new online booking facility which can be found at the top of each page. Rates and availability can be checked online at any time however, as always, please feel free to contact us directly by phone or email if you prefer to speak to us or email us with any questions or queries.
