Macduff Marine Aquarium

Small but brilliant place to visit. Loved learning about the lobster and seeing it get fed

Good little aquarium. Takes around an hour to go around, if you can catch one of the big tank talks they are good. Nice section for kids to hold starfish too.

Great place too take the kids too. Under 're development at the moment though should be even better once finished.

We had a lovely day out here. There were a lots of hands on activities and the staff were very informative and friendly. It's not a huge place, but it's well worth the visit!

Have visited Macduff aquarium a few times now and always thoroughly enjoyed our visit. It is a reasonably small aquarium but there are so many creatures to see you can happily spend a couple of hours here. We managed to catch three feeding/talk sessions today which was great. Looking forward to our next visit when it reopens for summer.

A small, yet breathtaking marine aquarium in the quiet coastal town of Macduff. It is quite a trek from most places, but well worth the visit. The staff are knowledgable, passionate about their job, and helpful. The fish are superb. I'd go every weekend if I could, as my kids love it. Be aware that there is nowhere to eat at the aquarium, and Macduff isn't blessed with many good places to get lunch.

I've taken my son here twice and will definitely be going again soon. It's not too expensive and I love that all the fish on display (except for one small tank) are all local fish. I love how it's laid out. The large central tank is very peaceful to sit and watch. We sat though a talk which was informative and friendly. I have met several members of staff who are all very friendly and well informed. My son particularly loved the tanks where you can put your hand in the water and gently touch the creatures lurking in the shallows. An educational and entertaining day out.

It is a destination worth visiting. Have been there quite a number of times. Each time enjoy it as my first.

Not the biggest aquarium in the world, but kids love it. Check before as some days they have divers do fish feeds in the big tank.

Small place, bit packed with interesting tanks that are fantastically maintained, clear and easy viewing for kids of all heights and adults alike. Fantastic gift shop with knowledgeable staff who are polite and friendly, I have been three times and on every occasion felt welcome and engaged with, the daughter loved it each time and they have a small area where you can handle a select few sea creatures. And it has a fantastic beach and town located well within walking distance
