Our Tartan of the Week is the Maclean of Duart ancient hunting tartan!
We love this tartan for its vibrancy and its history. Clan Maclean is one of Scotland's oldest clans with their hunting tartan being the oldest recorded tartan in Scotland. This has been referenced to since 1587! (That's a really long time!!)
The Maclean's earned a reputation for their bravery and strength in battle and we think their tartan is a great fit for their attributes!

Our Outfit of the Week is the Islay Mist exclusive tartan with our Signature jacket and waistcoat.
This jacket is entirely customisable from the buttons to the lining and we think the mix of greys helps all of those fine details pop!
We chose to pair this with our Grey Dress Sporran with Celtic Cantle to help blend the colours and pull the outfit together.

the service was fantastic! very friendly and helpful. we ordered a whole made to measure outfit and were given plenty of time to think about and choose every detail. and since we're only here on holiday for a short time we needed it shipped to Austria, which was no problem at all. Can only recommend!

Went in to buy a new dress jacket and waistcoat for my daughters wedding but ended up with beautiful tailor made trews and accessories as well. There was a great selection of traditional and contemporary styles, materials and tartans. The staff were all friendly and expert and really helped add to the excitement of the visit. I went back for a final fitting and the outfit fitted perfectly. I was thrilled and felt so smart on the big day. No hard sell, just excellent expert service. I’d certainly recommend M&M and use them again!

We hired a kilt for our sons Communion and the service from the staff was excellent! Shop was very busy and we hadnt made an appointment but it was so organised and we were seen very quickly, great advice and choice was given by staff. This was our 2nd time hiring kilts and would highly recommend this shop. We definately will be back for future events. �

We hired a kilt for our page boy and ties for our wedding party. This was the only place we could find a blue tweed kilt so was over the moon that the colours went perfect with the rest of the wedding theme. Service was good and everything looked fab on the day! Would recommend.

Received our hats and scarf today! They are beautiful! Wool is so light and soft, and the tartan colors are perfect. My husband's great uncles on his mother's side were in the Black Watch. He has a tie in the weathered colors, so I got him the golf cap for his birthday; colors match perfectly! Thank you for wonderful service and gorgeous products!

Kilts were perfect for our wedding, the staff at the bath street store were excellent, we had 1 tiny problem with a wrong colour of kilt that was sorted within half an hour the staff went above and beyond to make sure it was, all 12 kilt hires were perfect thanks again

I would definitely recommend Macgregor and Macduff to anyone looking for kilt hire. I actually started off with an unsuccessful hire from them. I had paid extra for a kilt to take to my brothers wedding in Vegas. Upon arrival to pick up the kilt, the wrong jacket, waistcoat, socks etc all packed. They had to go through recently returned kilts to find what I had ordered. Meaning they had to quickly steam clean it in store and hand it to me wet.



I left a comment with the company as I was unhappy with what I ended up with and needless to say they went above and beyond to fix the problem. Even offering assistance with a second kilt hire should I need it in future. Great customer service, and naturally the kilts looked incredible out in the states for the wedding. I'll be back again in future.

I have hired outfits from these guys for years however the level of service I received on my last hire , especially from Paul and Laura went above and beyond my expectations. I will never go anywhere else and will always recommend MacGregor MacDuff, thanks again for all you did !.

I had my kilt fitting in London back in February for my wedding, I chose the Irish Tartan of County Cork as that is where my father is from. The service received was absolutely amazing, Angela was brilliant and the kilt fits perfectly. They then sent my best man and ushers outfits down by courier the week before the wedding so as to make sure all fitted. We needed a couple of adjustments and they were sent out and received on the Tuesday.

All in all an outstanding experience and I would highly recommend anyone who is thinking of using MacGregor Macduff to do so as you will not be disappointed.

Huge thank you to Kieran from your Prestwick store. I called him on Thursday afternoon . My step daughter was getting married at western house hotel on Friday and due to the weather we couldn’t get in touch with our kilt hire place for father of the bride. Kieran went above and beyond and source a complete outfit within 30 minutes. He even managed to get it cleaned before we collected it. Can’t praise him highly enough and we will all be eternally grateful for his help.

Having been involved in a number of weddings, MacGregor & MacDuff is easily the best kilt hire service I've used. In August we hired kilts for myself and our wedding party and everything was perfect. All the guys looked fantastic - ushers, best men, father of the groom, father of the bride, and even our pageboy Jake. The staff were all excellent and friendly, and they accommodated my father brilliantly, who is in a wheelchair (use the Dumbarton Road shop for wheelchair access). As a nervous groom, they set me at ease at what can be a stressful time, and handled all queries with a smile and professionalism. They have a fantastic selection, with a range of tartans and styles, several of which I've worn as guest, usher, best man and groom. Most significantly, my wife loved the way everyone looked which was very important for photos and her peace of mind. I can therefore recommend MacGregor & MacDuff as the best kilt hire service I have ever used. Thank you!

Great service from the Glasgow West branch yesterday. Danielle spent a lot of time showing my son what kilts he could pick from for his communion, she didn't rush him and went through different styles that would be available. Brilliant service and great advise throughout the time we were in buying a kilt. After picking up today we had some amazing advise, guidance and real kind of amazing customer service. Great job by Beth and now left with a great package and now to take it to Australia to wear in 30 Degree heat :)

Bought one of the handfasting ribbons from my wedding online. Large choice of tartans available and they emailed to say it would take 5 weeks to make and did this fit with our time frame. You could tell it was good quality and looked brilliant on the day (picture attached).
