Usually I would give a better rating, however I was very disappointed on this occasion. I only usually take a single fish as the fish is usually really big and is enough for me without chips. However, the fish I got was tiny, I've seen bigger in a kid's meal at Wetherspoon, in fact the previous time I got two fish that size in my single fish. It was still tasty but I was still hungry.

After waiting to be seated for a bit we (almost) seated ourselves at one of the several empty tables. Unfortunately the waitress appeared at that point, told us we shouldn't be seating ourselves & she'd get to us as she was busy & on her own. Didn't t much like being told off like a child so we left. Hopefully if you visit they'll be a little more welcoming. Can't comment on the food!

Great for the kids at lunchtime snack-type food on the main street, and in the evening served us lovely food in the restaurant - great thing to be able to access when you're on a family holiday.

Award winning...... certainly not for there customer service or focus.

Chips were OK... not award winning for me.

Went back for ice cream. Better service from a young girl, and the ice cream is fabulous.

I will not be returning in a rush. Or rushing out to one of there local fish vans.

Give thumbs up to locate, and ice cream.

Food was good but there it ends. Portion of fish small for the price of fish supper. Floor littered with chips etc behind counters No attempt made to clean tables from previous customers littered with remains of the previous dinners . Passed by 1 hour later and new dinners had stacked up remains of previous diners empty cartons on tables so they could sit down. When we returned an hour later to collect an overcharge of £1 there was no signs of any cleaners going round floors and tables in the time we observed. No one seemed bothered about mess. Staff member dropped carton on floor and just placed it back on pile of other cartons , I questioned her about it but she seemed unconcerned and at one stage whilst waiting for our suppers she lifted her leg and touched her shoe but carried on serving without cleaning hands .We made a special trip to eat at this chip shop but we will certainly not be eating here again even although the food was good.This is a genuine review and I am sure you can verify this by looking at your own INTERNAL CCTV SUNDAY 13TH APPROX 1900 HRS. Overall Hygiene very disappointing.

Just bought an ice cream from this busy restaurant and gelaterie. What a miserable counter assistant. Never asked if she could help, just stood there with a grin on her face. Never answered when I asked how much it cost and just walked off after dropping the cash in the till. Had to ask for napkins. Ice cream was delicious but rubbish service. I won't visit the place again. Scottish tourism at it's best...sadly.

Very good fish bar and restaurant. Big portion's of chips. Lovely haggis. Great staff. Reasonable prices. Great view.

A really lovely place to stop and stay. Lovely well prepared food, a charming and chilled approach from staff. Can't rate it high enough!
