Here’s the photos from a job we had been working on and finished last week. A new build by Dougie Bissett and his team, (great guys) who got us in to do the stone work. Smooth ashlar corners with rouble infill. The older looking stone work really compliments the new building and one we really enjoyed being a part of.

A wee job we managed to get done before the sites inevitably,( and as hard as it will be for us and others )rightfully close due to the corona virus.Uncertain times ahead but of course health first. All the best to our fellow tradesmen and small businesses and with a bit of luck we will all come out the other side!

It’s not been easy battling the elements the past couple weeks , but here’s the current job we’ve been persevering with. Davie Mackinnon Mark Mackinnon

Another job that will be ongoing but now started after our winter holidays. Badly leaning and now collapsing boundary wall to take down and rebuild. We will also add a required foundation as the wall is that old it never had one originally.

Things progressing well at the old Bell Baxter. 2 of 6 windowsills dropped. We Will eventually have these new monster rybat stones to carve and fit to these windows and other widows requiring alterations.

Another random rouble wall project completed, with a rustic cope knocked up from the rubble walling stone. Built and pointed in traditional lime mortar.

A chimney recently fixed up. New cope and blocking course and all repointed. We have now been asked back to carry out a lot more work for the clients next year. 😁

Saturday shift sorting this hazardous headstone as deemed by the council. The headstone was built on insufficient foundations. we took down the stone putting in the appropriate foundations , then drilled a headstone dowel into the base of headstone and the foundation now making it solid and secure.
