If I could give this less than one star I would. AVOID THIS SOLICITOR COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. They exploit people in very very sensitive situations and claim they look out for the best interests of the child but absolutely manipulated a desperate family at every turn. I wish I had checked out reviews before going anywhere near this place as it looks like our situation was not an isolated case. Told us we had to pay £1000 up front before any work had taken place but assured us it was in an account they would not have access to and only stays there until legal aid is granted. Having been continually misinformed with regards to a child's welfare and actions we should be taking and even the police telling us that the lawyer must be inexperienced as all info we had been given was not accurate at all. Understandabley we became frustrated and ultimately moved lawyers and have since been trying to retrieve the £1000 to no avail. They refuse to answer telephone calls emails or letters and have essentially stolen our money after praying on or desperate situation regarding a small child's welfare. Disgusting practice utterly shocking and any future customers should do so with absolute understanding that they actually do not know the law, the courts, the police and simply want your money. Judge also made a mockery of the solicitor Donna Elsby in particular was visibly shaking while speaking to the judge. No conviction in her voice what so ever. Please for your own sake do your research and get a knowledgeable and empathetic lawyer especially in emotional circumstances.

Required a lawyer to get residency for my daughter received s lawyer with not one bit of fight or backbone in her body visually cowered in front of a superior opposing lawyer and sheriff, got told we would get emergency legal aid but still had to pay 1000 deposit for my account, after paying this and getting a court order to finally see my daughter it turns out the court order was worthless questioned the absolute ignorant rat of a secretary for Donna elbsy and was met with nothing but cheek , NOW THEY ARE HOLDING MY MONEY RANSOM UNTILL THEY DECIDE HOW MUCH I OWE THEM MAVOID THESE SHOWER OF PRETENDERS AT ALL COSTS.

I was not told I might not get legal Aid until I had already incurred charges. I was then granted legal Aid but was not able to backclaim. I moved address and could not get a hold of them to let them know but they had my phone and email but did not bother to try and contact me. They sent me 4 letters to my old address with no reply and just withdrew from acting. If you expect reliable correspondnce I would recommend against these solicitors. Their Family Law seems very disorganised and they do not seem to know correct procedure and they do not take into account that this area of law is more sensitive and can affect people's personal lives differently from other forms of law. They are pleasant enough but you need someone you can trust to go the extra mile in these cases and this is not the case with Family Law in my expereince. I was very hurt by the way I was treated in the end.
