I was pleasantly surprised by the relaxed atmosphere at Macklin. No sales people pouncing on you trying to make a sale, just a friendly question to ask if you were ok and to give someone a call if you wanted help. I had a few cars in mind and found the sales person to very helpful and honest when questions were asked. He explained in detail to all if my enquiries and sometimes technical questions. When I finally decided on the vehicle I wanted, all aspects of the sale including my trade in and finance details were fully explained. My new car was available to me ahead of time and the hand over was very professional and expertly dealt with. At no time did I feel rushed.I will certainly go back to this dealership as I am delighted with my new Hyundai i30.

Bought a used car from this dealership. Salesperson was efficient and straightforward. Answered all of the questions asked competently. Made us aware of all the options for paying etc during the process.

Car selection was good, they even brought in another car from group stock.

The first time I visited they overcharged me for a service and in spite promising that I would have my car back the same day, they kept it two days, and thus I had to pay for taxis to work and back.

I arranged to have the car checked under warranty for a known fault that had been checked before. Lady on the phone said it would be free, then when I arrived they tried to charge me £85 to look under the wheelarch.

Complete and total con-artists, wouldn't go anywhere near them. Arnold Clarke are way better.

Unbelievable, was sold a used Skoda Fabia S. When i test drove the car i asked to be sure, if it had air conditioning. The salesman almost laughed and said "Yes of course". It didn't seem like the sort of thing you could get wrong. I've just taken the car to a garage to get the air conditioning fixed after sweltering in hot weather. It turns out the model doesn't have air conditioning at all, which i have verified by looking at the specs of the model. This despite the manual describing the system as well.

Terrible terrible, sold a car on a straight-up lie. I will be taking whatever action is available to me to try to be recompensed in some way. I will be replacing my car ASAP but never again with Macklin Motors.

Salesman couldn't care less. We turned up to do a booked test drive to find they didn't even have the car available to drive. Said he would phone us when the car was available and we heard nothing. Bought a car the next week elsewhere, so it's not like we were wasting his time. Very poor
