Why don’t you start your Monday by taking a moment to read about our extremely brave and beautiful supporter, Suzanne Morrison. 🌟🌟🌟
Suzanne, from East Kilbride, raised a staggering £5,442.50 by hosting a hair cutting party in memory of her beloved Dad who passed away in 2018 from chronic lymphocytic leukaemia. This brave lady allowed friends and family to make the first cut of her long locks that she’s cultivated over the last 6 years!
Suzanne’s Dad spent a number of month...s in the care of Macmillan Nurses in Kirkton Home in Blantyre, Glasgow. Her incredible fundraising efforts are a way for her to show how thankful her family are to Macmillan Cancer Support and she wanted to give ‘a little bit of me’ and thought a drastic hair cut would be the perfect way to say thanks. 💚
It has been a privilege to get to know Suzanne and her family and we are so thankful for everything she has done for Macmillan Cancer Support.
If you’re inspired by Suzanne and would like to host a fundraiser for us, please visit https://www.macmillan.org.uk/…/orga…/ your-event-registration Or call 0300 1000 200.

A BIG thank you to the Robertson Family, who paid tribute to their Grandad, Dad and Father in law Neil who sadly died earlier this year after a short cancer diagnosis.
Neil and his wife Alice received support from their local Macmillan Nurse and chose Macmillan Cancer Support as the beneficiary at Neil’s service. Friends and family donated £1420.70 in memory, helping people living with cancer find their best way through.
It was a pleasure to meet and thank Lianne, Shannan, L...ee and Kate in Grandad’s favourite spot and share the impact their support will make to those living with cancer – thank you.
If you would like to fundraise for Macmillan we would love to hear from you, www.macmillan.org.uk or call 0300 1000 200

Introducing the wonderful Wilson Family from Glasgow. 💚
Since 2016, Kevin, Ellen and Siobhan Wilson have raised an incredible £7,508.75 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
In 2015, Kevin, Ellen and Siobhan lost a very dear family friend to cancer, Mr Donald MacDonald. The support from Macmillan inspired the family to start raising money in his memory.
... 11 year old Siobhan, at the time, decided that she wanted to start fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support due to the help and care Donald received and the home care provided for him in his last few precious months.
The family have now hosted 3 successful Donald MacDonald Memorial Day Fly Fishing Competition's at Carron Valley, Drumtassie Fishery and Avon Trout Fishery. Each event is growing in success with the most recent one in June 2019 raising a fantastic £1,902.50! 🎣 🎣
Further to their Fly Fishing competitions, the family also enjoy hosting an annual Coffee Morning for Macmillan. They are a family of many talents! 🎂
By the end of 2019, Kevin and his family are hoping to smash their target of £10,000 to support those affected by cancer and we have every faith in them.
To Kevin, Ellen and Siobhan, we are so thankful for all your hard work and we appreciate the huge effort you continuously put into your fundraising, you are an inspirational family and we can’t wait to see what you do next! 💚🌟
If you enjoy your Fly Fishing and would like to support Macmillan and this wonderful family, please contact Kevin Wilson for more details on ‪07779 197 350‬.
⚡️The next event⚡️
- ‪Saturday 26th October‬ - Lawfield Trout Fishery - Kilmalcolm
If you are inspired by this story and would like to host your own special event for Macmillan Cancer Support, please contact Fundraising Manager, Julia Perrie on ‪07458 003 312‬ or juliaperrie@macmillan.org.uk.

Today we're saying a huge thank you to everyone who supported Macmillan last year. #Thankstoyou Macmillan could deliver personal, high impact support to 1.9million people.

Your contribution meant we were able to award grants to 4,760 people in Scotland, who were facing financial struggles as a result of their diagnosis. These grants help to cover a wide range of practical needs, such as the cost of heating bills, extra clothing, or a much-needed break. #thankstoyou

Huge thanks to Rolls-Royce Inchinnan's apprentices who fundraised for Macmillan and Epilepsy Scotland recently by walking 23 miles from the Falkirk Wheel to Anniesland College. They raised over £1500 from their efforts.
Team member David Jackson said; “We all know someone whose been affected by cancer. We’re delighted to be helping by raising awareness and funds to support the amazing job Macmillan do, not just for the patients but for the families surrounding the patients. This is important to each one of us in the group.”
