We’re at the Hilton Doubletree in edinburgh for its wedding fair and we’re revealing more beautiful visions of our wedding collaboration with Sweet Crumbs Edinburgh. We can combine colour combos and these are perfect for guests who need a gluten free sweet treat (Macarons) and still have the traditional cut the cake moment with the sponge. Not to forget these are delicious!

My dearest customers and friends, I wanted to let you know, that Saturday was the last day of trading at Mademoiselle Macaron on Grindlay Street. I am so sad to say goodbye to the shop after four wonderful years, but I have a fresh focus on how the business will develop, which involves wholesale and online all running from our kitchen in Leith. As well as a full explanation, I’ve also included a little something to say ‘goodbye, but it’s not forever’, in this post on my webs...ite. Let's talk about making sure you keep yourself topped up. I'm not talking about making sure you always have a cuppa to hand or even macarons available. This is more about the self-care cuppa because we all know you cannot pour from an empty cup/jug/container... you get the idea ☕️ Sundays are a Mademoiselle's day off so take some time for you, chill, sneak off to indulge in whatever you want and relax. 😘 We've been chipping away at our brand and making sure we feel comfortabl...e in what we do, how we look, sound etc. and it all comes down to how we chat normally with our customers in the shop. Seems like we are all a bit befuddled at the moment and this grown up thing is hard! (I personally feel like I got lied to when the adult thing was sold to me at age 16 and I was desperate to go out and become Ally McBeal). We're all just trying to get along, live our best life and cope. That's the chat from where we stand behind the counter talking to you guys. We've had people come in after they've just handed in their notice, been dumped, had bad news, the works! So, we'll provide the cake, you create the time and space for a little moment of luxury and everything will be fine... xxx

#throwbackthursday to last week when chief mademoiselle Rachel was attempting to make everyone laugh as part of a stand up comedy night for Edinburgh Fringe. That night we raised £80 for Women’s Aid! In Mademoiselle Macaron’s lifetime we have always tried to give back and would like to do more of it. We’d like to give some (women’s) shelters our less perfect Macarons but we’re finding it hard to make that happen. Does anyone in the Edinburgh region know of a way we can make sure our Macarons aren’t wasted and every mademoiselle and monsieur can get a moment of Luxury?

We were on hols in Edinburgh and had heard of the cafe from James Martin's show so we knew we had to go. The macarons were unbelievably tasty and we all loved them. The staff in the cafe were really friendly and helpful, even with our baby daughter's mess with her chocolate peppermint macaron x We will definitely be back x

We ordered from here for our wedding favours and I cannot recommend them enough. For starters the customer service was absolutely outstanding. The macarons themselves looked beautiful and tasted even better! We sampled a variety of flavours and deciding which ones to go for was such a hard choice! Thank you to Rachel and the team!

Thank you so much for such a wonderful day for Emma’s Hen yesterday! It was so much fun, and it was great to learn a new skill! It was relaxed, funny and a great way to spend a few hours!! You were a wonderful host Rachel, and you just made the day!! Your hard work and commitment to your business is so evident - we will definitely be back to purchase some beautiful macaroons soon! xxx

Ordered a 210 peice tower for my wedding yesterday.

from start to finish the process was so easy.

Rachel was always on hand to answer any questions I had, no matter how stupid.

They arrived at my home, in a well padded box. Unfortunately there were no casualties for me to munch on. They stayed fresh in the fridge until the event and were beautiful. I've had many compliments about them from my guests.

I would highly recommend for any event.

Lovely wee place, had brunch/lunch and coffee and loved the atmosphere and location. Definitely coming back next time I’m in Scotland! �

Literally cannot rave about this amazing shop enough!!! Turned up 25 mins early to grab some delicious macarons to realise shop wasn’t open yet, literally not minutes later a lovely lady turned up, opened early for me to grab macarons for my family. In December I was frantically trying to finish work for Christmas to get up and get boxes of macarons for my Grannie, (who can I add is so obsessed with these macarons) the girls were so lovely and kept them aside for me! The macarons are just beyond amazing, always fresh and the staff are just a dream! If you haven’t tried these insane macarons then do yourself a favour and get yourself involved! Thank you so much for the best customer service and the best macarons ever!!!

I'd been wanting to try proper macarons for years and finally succumbed. My box of 12 arrived this morning, perfectly packaged and presented and I immediately stuck the kettle on and eyed the perfect multicolour domes excitedly. I picked out the lemon, chocolate (to die for) and peppermint and it's taking every ounce of willpower not to devour the entire box. They are absolutely beautiful. Perfect balance of sweetness and flavour and the texture is heaven. It's really important to me to support local business and independent entrepreneurs whenever possible and Mademoiselle Macaron is proof that in doing so you don't have to compromise on quality.

I look forward to Valentine's & my birthday as each year I get Macarons from this amazing place.

I'm not sure how I've not managed to visit the shop yet with my sister living in Edinburgh but I most certainly will be �

I had a box of macarons delivered as a gift from my brother. I am so impressed, they are by far the tastiest macarons I've ever had. Definitely my new favourite! X

I am totally addicted to these Macaroons this is my 3rd order they are AMAZING ❤️

Had a macaron making class today, had grate fun and the macarons tasted amazing. Highly recommend! �

Finally got there after months of talking about it ,wasn't disappointed.. crepes were lovely melt in mouth and the macaroons are delicious �, so much so we brought some home � , served with a big smile too , will be back

Excellent classes! Rachel is a great teacher, so lovely and hilarious. I was a bit early so she chatted to me before the class started. The class is relaxed and fun, recipes are easy to follow and there's time for a cuppa while the macs bake. She answered everyone's questions and had some good stories to tell. We all got lots of macarons to take home. They are delicious! I'd highly reccomend this class. Thanks to the Mademoiselle Macaron gals for a great night :)

Decided to treat myself to proper macarons for my birthday and they did not disappoint. Absolutely gorgeous, would order again!

Attended a fabulous macaron class today! Learned alot and they taste amazing! Thank you very much! X

Ahh my absolute favourite Macaron shop!!! Love the delicate rose macaron my favourite, fabulous choice and very reasonable price, what’s not to love about a macaron �

Absolute perfection. I received another box of your beautiful macarons yesterday for my birthday. I am a macaron addict and I have to say that yours are the best I’ve ever tasted (and I’ve had a lot!). I have to say that my favourite flavour is the salted caramel but there are lots more that are just behind. I’m trying hard not to eat the whole box in one sitting but I’m not sure how much longer I will last.

A lovely wee gem across from the Lyceum, so swift visit prior to Alice in Wonderland and delighted it was suitably decorated. Amazing choice of macaroons, and the 8 for £8 a great way to sample various flavours - the zingy Lemon , fresh Apple, Classic Vanilla and indulgent Salted Caramel to name a few. Popped in after for crepes too. I loved it and more importantly my daughter, the macaron expert loved it. We'll be back
