Magic Cycles

Took my road bike in for a [overpriced] service. Took almost a week to get seen and when I got it back the gears were out of index - so much so that I couldn't actually use some of the gears. I was new to the sport so asked the store attendant for advice on what shorts to buy for road cycling. I took their advice and purchased a £45 pair of shorts - the only pair they had on sale. When I showed my cycling friends they informed me I had been sold mountain biking shorts. Great, thanks for the waste of money Magic Cycles. This is a perfect example of what I've come to learn over the past year - just because you work in a bike shop doesn't mean you know anything about cycling. Perhaps I was being naive for trusting their knowledge but I still expected better.
