Folk who dine out in Kilmarnock may recognise today's customer. A fine eatery. I'm cleaning the carpets as the staff clean everything else. Should be spotless for them opening up again on 24th July after well deserved holidays.

One of my favourite jobs of the year. Strathaven Golf Club. 2 days cleaning carpets with probably another 2 cleaning dining chairs and sofas. Thanks to Graham Murray for the introduction 3 or 4 years ago.

Can't believe it's 20 years ago today that I started my training to be a carpet and upholstery cleaner. How time flies when you are enjoying yourself. And, how's this for a coincidence? Today, I was back at the property of my first ever paying job in 1999. A huge 20 year, 250,000 mile circle. Happy days.

Proud to be cleaning some carpets and chairs in this historic restaurant this evening

Many thanks to each and every one of my valued customers but especially to those that made the run up to Christmas so calm and organised. Everyone had arranged to get their carpet cleaned before the tree went up, meaning the only Christmas trees I moved were the 3 in the Park Hotel in November. What a month! The busiest since I started the business in 1999. Regular customers like The Galleon Centre, new ones including the bar and restaurant chain Buzzworks and one I haven't worked for in years coming back to me, Key Lets. Plus lots of other commercial and domestic customers. My wife, Amber, is doing the Nice Marathon on Sunday in aid of Diabetes UK and Scotland play Albania soon after so November is going to be a short month before the big build up to Santa's arrival. In short, if you are thinking of getting me to clean carpets or upholstery then please book early to get the day and time you want.

Ever think you have been quoted too much for carpet cleaning? My customer today was getting 3 rooms and a large hall, stairs and landing cleaned. She was quoted £301 by the first rip off merchants and £247 by the second. My price was £140. I'm off on Wednesday to see Scotland beat Israel but will be back to work next Monday.

Hopefully when the staff get back to our local leisure centre they'll be happy with their cafe carpet.

One of today's jobs included a big leather chair and a cute wee chair. As a bonus (for me anyway) it was in Killie blue and white stripes. 😃

There are many reasons for customers wanting to get their carpets cleaned but this must be one of the cutest 😃

This is on behalf of all (I assume) self employed tradespeople. If you book an appointment and subsequently change your mind, it's not a problem as long as you call and cancel beforehand. Please don't let the aforementioned tradesperson turn up (or in my case while I call to confirm my eta) before cancelling. Not only will they miss out on your job but they may have put off or knocked back other jobs to keep your appointment. Rant over 😢

Well, what a month July has been. Hot hot hot and even hotter and busy busy busy. August is already looking much the same (businesswise, not sure about the weather) and every morning is booked till middle of the month. I'll also be taking a few days off towards the end of the month for a wedding in foreign lands so if you need any of my services please book early.
