Happy Easter from all of the crew on the Maid! We're ready for a slightly less traditional Easter egg hunt in the form of wildlife searching on the Forth. Any guesses of what we might spot?

Went out today to Inchcolm Island with my sister and my son. We all really loved it. Friendly staff, helpful. The views are amazing on forth and its great we sail under all 3 bridges. Inchcolm itself is beautiful peaceful tranquil. Staff on the Island are very helpful and polite too. Great day out and a bonus being historic Scotland members so get a discount. Thanks maid of the forth wont be the last time I'l be at sea as loved it .

User

Went on the 10.30am sightseeing trip which lasted 90mins.....Well worth the £14 price.....Took our granddaughter who loved it...….Boat wasn't overly busy which was good as we were able to move around on the top deck. When we docked at 12noon there was over 100 hundred folk waiting for the 12.30 trip. Advice is go on the early trip if you can

User

We make a pilgrimage at least once a year, to pay my respects to my Dad, John McLeod Milne. His ashes are scattered on the South Beach on Inchcolm and we have a Memorial Bench for him under the arch in the beautiful garden area of the Abbey.

We always sail on the Maid of the Forth - usually on Father's Day, but this year we're a week early as my brother was able to travel up from Plymouth with his wife. My sister joined us too to complete the family gathering.

The Maid of the Forth is always the best way to access the island, with great, friendly crew and a welcoming bar. We always toast my Dad's memory with a wee drink. Well done to all on continuing to make our trip very special.

User

We had beautiful weather for our lovely trip to Incholm island. So pleased we booked the 3 hour excursion on line as this gave us just over 1.5 hours on the island. It is a peaceful, beautiful place, immaculatly kept by the two people that look after it. Incholm abbey is a lovely very well preserved 12 th century abbey and church and lovely to explore. We had such a special visit and our boat trip was gentle paced and very clean and comfortable. Our return visit took us directly under the three Forth bridges so that was pretty spectacular. And not to forget the resident grey seals , collection of nesting seabirds and their chicks. All in all a memorable day , thank you to skipper Scott and his crew.

User

Very simple but highly enjoyable trip. The boat offers great views and there's audio to point out key spits. Staff and crew very friendly, well organised and no complaints. Very good value and recommended

User

Super trip to Inchcolm Island last week. The crew were great, so helpful and courteous. And the narrative throughout was very interesting. Walking round the abbey on the island was great but, if not your cup of tea, you can just sail round the island and back. On the return trip they sail underneath the 3 bridges which was fab. Thanks guys we loved it

User

My boyfriend and I went out on the boat on the 1 hour and a half sightseeing trip on Monday afternoon for our 2 year anniversary. It was absolutely fantastic wouldn’t fault the trip at all! We had a scorcher of a day so of course that made it even better and managed to see some seals too. The trip was very educational, we had beautiful surroundings, and the crew and captain were brilliant! Thanks for a great afternoon!! Highly recommend everyone to do this tour !! Would definitely choose to stop ashore at Inchcolm island if we came back again it looked beautiful! Thanks to all staff amazing service !

User

Loved our ferry trip to the island, seen lots of seals and amazing views from the top deck and the staff arm you with all the info you need about the island and surroundings areas to make the most of your day. Great family ran business.. will be back

User

How could you not like this? The staff are so very warm, friendly and informative. The tour is awesome, with so many things you didn’t realise you could see or know. Finally Inchcolm Island is the jewel in this fine crown. My wife and I are so looking forward to going back again and again. Great value, an amazing day!!

User

Had an amazing day. We took the maid of the forth out to inchcolm island, it was a perfect day for it, the sun was shining and the water was calm! The staff were brilliant. The captain made my son's day by letting him steer the boat! We spent an hour and a half exploring the island and had a picnic. The guided information as we sailed was very informative too! Would highly recommend sailing with the maid of the forth tour. Thank you for a lovely family day!

User

Had a braw day on the Maid and Inchcolm today! Sun, water, birds, seals and good friends make it perfect. Can highly recommend this local adventure in rain or shine.

User

Great trip! Well worth the money. The lady in the ticket office was lovely, the crew were friendly and attentive, commentary was interesting and we got to see lots of seals which was an added bonus!

We chose to go ashore at Inchcolm island and it didn't disappoint, we had a good walk round the abbey and the old military buildings and seen lots of seabirds. Would highly recommend to anyone!

User

Great trip with my son and 7 year old granddaughter. The canned commentary was excellent and the captain added more details. Rather overcast but, this is Edinburgh, and otherwise smooth and dry. We coasted past two buoys to admire the seals.

Most passengers got off for the Inchcolm visit but we decided the 1.5 hour cruise was best for the little one. Totally worth the fare and a memorable experience.

User

Brilliant lots of information. Beautiful places to see and was on a sunny day. Can’t believe this is my first time visiting Inchcolm Island when it’s literally on my door step. Beware of seagulls during nesting season (we were there in July) even sticking to the short grass as advised they did try to dive bomb us a wee bit scary! Take a picnic and enjoy 😊
