Without doubt, the best real ale pub in Leith, if not Edinburgh- and a fantastic community spirit to the place, too. A home from home.

When I lived in Edinburgh this was my local. Just a great proper pub with good beer and good folk! When I move back to Edinburgh I hope it will once again be the local.

Traditional pub, dog friendly, has a real buzz about it, definitely worth a visit!

Stumbled across this pub yesterday lunchtime. Fantastic selection of real ales. staff were superb in accommodating us and put some tables and chairs out the front for us to sit in the sun ☀️

Would recommend all day !!

Had a lovely end to my graduation day last night in Malt and Hops! Julie the barmaid made us so welcome and the offer of a glass of wine on the house to help my celebration was above and beyond! Our very favourite Shore bar!

Had a great night here last Saturday. Great, friendly crowd, and the bar prices were exceptionally reasonable. Whoever was playing the music certainly knew what he/she was doing. Best, though, were the bar staff, who were absolutely lovely. Was my first visit and am looking forward to going back.

What a complete dick. I have been coming to this pub for years.. Tonight we had a few pints and went for dinner. When coming back we were not allowed back in. A bouncer wearing a Ramones shirt wouldnt let me back in and called the cops. He was a complete wanker!
