What fabulous staff! I bought fabric for a quilt project today. The young woman who served me (Ali) today was very friendly and exceptionally helpful. A thoroughly enjoyable shopping experience.

Visited shop this morning & I have to say Christine was amazing� very helpful & spot on with her suggestions.

Visited a couple of months ago to buy some lace for my wedding dress. Was delighted with extensive range of trims available to browse through in books and advice from knowledgeable staff. Got phone call 2 days later to let me know that my lace had arrived. Have been in a few times since and each time have been met by really friendly staff. Thanks

Such a treat to visit the shop on a trip to Glasgow. A must just go look in case there's something I need but don't know about it yet kinda shop! Staff are very helpful and friendly. Probably a good job I don't live closer, doubt my bank balance could survive that!

I visited the shop just prior to my wedding to ask for some advice on fabrics and measurements. Jean has a lovely kind manner and couldn't have been more helpful. She assisted us in working out measurements and making a good choice of fabrics.

I have only just found this shop when in Glasgow last month x The gentleman who ran the store was extremely helpful and friendly x definately recommend them and will return x

Another great trip from Aberdeen today very helpful lady ( sorry I didn't take note of her name ). Got to chat as well as shop. Was very disappointed to find out there was no Birthday cake left. Still we won't hold it against you. Would like to wish all staff Merry Christmas and see you again in the New Year.

5 Stars all round, first stop in Glasgow every time i visit & worth it.

Super staff & selection beautifully laid out store & displays for ideas.

Awesome shop in terms of amount of products and the way it is laid out its easy to find stuff and even easier to find stuff you all of a sudden want but don't necessarily need!!



Really awful customer service and so every time I speak to one of their staff members I ask myself why I don't shop online for fabric. It's not a good sign when you need to psych yourself up to ask for help.

Mandors generally has pretty much anything that is needed in the sewing world, however I have visited this shop 3 times now and each time I have found staff to be unhelpful with a bad attitude, almost as though my custom is an inconvenience. I may have just been unlucky and I don't mean to tar all the staff with the same brush however I have not felt satisfied with Mandors customer service on my 3 visits and will subsequently be avoiding this business

Unfortunately we’ve recently experienced a disappointing service from Mandors, a company we chose to buy our curtains from because of their reputation.



To start on a positive note we’re delighted with the fabric we chose and the curtains were completed ahead of schedule. No issue there. The problems we’re currently dealing with relate to the track they advised us to use in a large bay window, and crucially the poor hanging of the curtains.



Initially they were hung unevenly, with irregular spacing, which gave them an untidy appearance on the track. The curtains also failed to meet properly at their leading edge, so there was always a gap when they were drawn together. Additionally, we could clearly see the white lining on one of the curtains when they were drawn. So overall, not a satisfactory result at all when we’d paid in the region of £1500.



Once Mandors were made aware of these problems, the curtains were then taken away, some new stitching applied which solved the lining issue, and re-hung.



However, although improved, they still weren’t meeting properly when closed, and a gap can still clearly be seen.



So a second visit was required. This time the store boss came out to see the curtains for himself, and disappointingly was extremely dismissive towards us. He suggested the gap wouldn't matter as they are drawn when it’s dark and open when it's light, so the gap would be unnoticeable. That’s just not the case with bright street lights directly outside our window. It’s also not acceptable to attempt to justify our issues by saying that his own curtains do the same! He then compounded this by muttering something unintelligible, and walking out of the flat. Extremely unprofessional!



Fortunately his colleague Ruth was much more helpful and explained that the curtains would meet properly if we’d chosen a different type of track. Admittedly a much more expensive option, but its benefits should have been explained to us from the beginning. So now we’ll have to spend the extra money, and of course further inconvenience. It’s really been an extremely long drawn-out process when it didn’t need to be.



Do yourselves a favour folks and make sure Mandors give you ALL the information, particularly regards the different types of tracks that you should be considering.
