Set up in 2005 by Danny Jay whose experience in the Motor Industry stretches back nearly 30 years. Even as a young child he was obsessed with wheels. His obsession has turned him into a leading authority on selling cars. How? Why? When? Ask him anything about the industry and he will have the right answer. Ask him about anyone in the industry and he will know him or her.

On leaving school he gravitated towards the local car dealership who soon found that his knowledge and interest far exceeded that of his years. From moving cars around the showroom, he soon graduated to selling; his enthusiasm communicated to his customers, and he found himself being headhunted by all the major dealerships in and around London, who wanted to use his skills to reach targets set by the manufacturers.

Whilst still very young, he became dealer principle to some of London’s foremost dealerships, where he motivated and incentivised the salesmen to not only sell well, but also to put the customer first.

Danny had learned that if you have a satisfied customer, they will always come back to you when changing their cars. If that customer is happy with the price, condition of the delivered car, and the after-sales service should anything go wrong, they will always remain loyal. But if they are disappointed with the way they are addressed, the lack of knowledge, inattention to detail and dishonesty, they will never return. Many of Danny’s customers return and send their partners, children, friends and relatives to make sure they have a safe and reliable vehicle.

In April 2005, Danny decided it was time to start his own business and put his own methods of selling on the line. He established a new concept in vehicle purchase and sales.

At Manor Hill Cars, we source most of our vehicles from you, the private seller, rather than rely on the incestuous trading between dealers. We fully inspect and valet all vehicles prior to sale and ensure they are in good working order. If we have any doubts about the condition or history of any car we have purchased, they are disposed of through Car Auctions where other dealers can purchase them.
