Fantastic little gem of a guest house set on a hillside giving amazing views of the surrounding landscape. Super friendly service, huge clean rooms, and a resident family friendly dog called Charlie. I would highly recommend staying here for anyone looking in the moffat area.
Stayed for three nights in the Maple room. Lovely country house with far-reaching views across the hills and mountains. Quiet location yet easily accessible from the motorway a good base for touring the area. Friendly hosts, great breakfast, comfy room retaining it's old world charm while being warm and cosy.
Wonderful place to staying with great hosts in a classic estate home with views of the hills. It was quiet and comfortable and just a few minutes drive from Moffat that has plenty of choices for everything from pub grub to finer dining. If you have a tough time finding it, it is just south of Beattock on the main drive through town and the entrance is about 50 yards before you get back to the A701. Google maps has it just south of that off the A701 (it appears as it has a long drive running up the hill) as of June 2016 but it is just north of that off the smaller unnamed road. No street address but don't fret it is a hidden gem and make sure to say hi to Charlie, and read his note in the lobby! Worth a detour from your route for a great peaceful visit.
