Replace worn carpet throughout to owners spec.

Contest 41S "Coconut" from Oslo, required keel blasting & epoxy coated, after blasting we uncovered old badly done repairs around the keel recess with large gaps around the keel. further investigation revealed the keel had been changed some years ago to one with a slightly smaller root. hull repaired with epoxy & keel filled, faired & coated with 4 x coats of 3M ScotchKote.

Grounded rudder repair, rudder was removed and the top & lower sections repaired, shaft was showing signs of crazing with the force of being bent back, this was ground down, laminated & flow coated. replace bearings, refit rudder & antifoul.

Impact damage & delamination of encapsulated keel. Lower leading edge of keel suffered fractures through to keel lead ballast, causing the keel laminate to delaminate from the ballast, the fwd area of the keel showed off the scale moisture readings on the sovereign meter.
The dry areas of delamination were injected with epoxy paste & the wet laminate was removed, re-glassed & filled over with epoxy filler & fair to shape.

Malo 34, strip off antifoul coatings & prep for Coppercoat application. Rudder was found to have osmosis on lift out, removed rudder, split in half to remove wet Bolsa core. Rudder was laminated inside & out & coated with epoxy filler paste. Mjollnir was then moved into the boat shed at Clyde Marina Ardrossan & Coppercoat was applied. All Coppercoat application comes with a 3 year warranty on workmanship

Selection of colour matched gelcoat repairs

Tidy up for resale, tube reinforcement patches were peeling off, with various leaks, these were removed & re-glued. Replaced timber seat base & repaired various holes in floor. Removed staining from transom, general clean of hull & deck.

The teak steps on this Grand Sol 40 were made with teak veneered plywood, due to water ingress the port side had swollen & come loose. We removed s/board step & replaced both with teak 45mm strips caulked in to match in with the deck.

Install thruster tube to Beneteau 40 (Jura Star) on site at Clyde Marina Ardrossan

Tube ripped by outboard prop, required patched inside & out.

Teak was uneven with most of the caulk loose & screw heads showing through plugs. We stripped out all the caulk, sanded the teak to remove all grooving & bedded in new caulk. After sanding off the excess caulk we removed all the plugs & screws, deepened the pilot holes & installed new screws & plugs, chiselled off plugs & final sand to finish.
