Mario`S Takeaway And Delivery

Waited an hour and 20 minutes for a very dry, lukewarm chicken steak and a hamburger supper which had seen better days. The buttered rolls were all hard round the edges and clearly not fresh today. Used to be the best chippy in Loanhead, clearly something has changed. Will be taking my business elsewhere. Do not recommend the delivery service unless you want to eat 90 minutes after you decide you're hungry and like shoddy chips with no salt.

Had a chicken supper just now it was cold chips also the chicken was just warm this chip shop has gone down hill since the owners moved out and got different people in to cook bad news just lost a long standing customer poor food

Was really looking forward to fish supper after holiday in Spain. Arrived Mario's about 4.30/5 pm both fish were half cold with soggy batter and Chios were clearly re-heats. Now after reading other comments it's obvious this is no longer the Mario's of old. Ah well time to loook around for a better choppie. How to lose customers without trying Mario's!

Dont know what's happened to Mario's chippy but last night was horrendous. This is the second time the food has smelled of very strong disinfectant or cleaner. The fish was soggy and not crispy as it should be and the place didn't even have any tartar sauce to go with the fish. Not that it would have mattered considering most of it went straight in the bin.

Top notch chip shop...even better than some of the so called world famous ones I've tried..

overpriced rubbish. new to the area, i went here a few weeks ago to try out the fare but was quite disappointed with the quality of the food. being a fair minded person, i decided to give them another chance on friday fully expecting that it couldn't be that bad a second time but i was wrong..... was served the same old greasy, limp, tasteless rubbish... i actually threw it in the bin when i got home and the little i actually consumed gave me a sore stomach later. the prices they charge are way over the top also... who do they think they are? we're talking a small local chippy in loanhead here not the ritz.

I waited over an hour for delivery, when it finally arrived I found hairs in the pizza and also freezing cold! It was a horrible and never ordering from there again. Marios used to be good& now it is terrible.

Bad service

You used to get great food from here. Not now!!!!!! Got two fish suppers. Both went in the bin. My partner found a long blonde hair entwined in the chips. Yuck!!!!!! The fish and batter tasted as though they were at least two days old. Never again😝

This used to be the best chip shop in the local area but has sadly gone downhill recently. Order took over an hour to arrive on a Monday evening. Wasnt a huge order either was 2 pizzas and a portion of potato fritters. Called to find out how much longer the order would be and was told no idea i wasn't doing the deliveries when you ordered but it's left here, then told no idea how long ago it left so could say when it will arrive.
Driver finally turns up after an hour and 20 minutes, says he couldnt find the place (never had any problems before) and he told me the cost so i went to get the right change and he told me i'd given him the wrong money, he asked for £11.45 i gave him £11.55 and got no change. Then he couldn't remember how much my order was!! totally clueless!!!
Pizzas were cold and like plastic when they arrived, potato fritters were cold, soggy and rubbery. will NOT be ordering again, total waste of money and rude staff.

Anaemic soft batter unless you get something freshly cooked like special fish, don't bother. Rude service at times.
