Evening folks After the overwhelming support we received up to and after our closing , we would love to gauge the feelings of the many , many customers we had / have about continuing Marviks Sportsbar & Grill but in a new location ???? (Still in Leven) . Please like or share so we can gauge the feeling of such a plan As always we’d appreciate your feedback and suggestions.

It’s a sad and disappointing time here at Marviks and somewhat inevitable after a constant vindictive campaign of corruption .
We’ve struggled over the last 7 months with complaints of excessive noise. In a bid to rectify and resolve we have put money into sound-proofing our building, as well as extra staff to monitor noise.
In mid January, Fife’s licensing board decided the best thing to do was to restrict our live and recorded music after 11pm even after being presented wi...th no evidence of alleged complaints in fact had indeed been presented with the contrary, the words used were “inaudible “ in any flat in Kirkside Court . And so therefore instead of their (Councils) words of “regeneration “ and bring new commerce into the town they have in fact closed yet another business and put another 8 people on the dole .
This has dealt a massive blow to the pub and it’s regular Friday and Saturday nights. We have had to cancel both our entertainers and reduce our staffing levels.
The pub cannot continue to struggle, so with a heavy heart, we have decided to close the doors and call it to an end.
We hope Byron de Sousa, his partner Amanda and Mr William Brooks are happy that they brought a small business to an end. In future, Byron, do not move next to a licensed premises (regardless of its previous function). As for William Brooks, a man that was charged for abusing and threatening a member of our staff, you are a pub pest, & public nuisance, who continues to verbally abuse, harass and belittle people.
We appreciate all our loyal customers, from our “old boys” to the “young team”. A big thanks to all our team who have struggled on with us and been there to support the pub. Also a massive thank you is due to Police Scotland, Sgt Hood and his colleagues for his unwavering support throughout this entire farce , along with the huge help and assistance afforded to us by Cllr Colin Davidson , and last but not least, to the 99% of residents at Kirkside Court who assisted us by providing statements, kind words of encouragement and undeniable support thorough-out, thank you.
We will be having one last weekend, this Friday/Saturday. Once the stock is gone, it’s gone! There will be plenty special offers from 9pm on Saturday night!

Went yesterday with my friend and was well impressed. From the gorgeous decor to the lovely wee waiters, it was a very relaxed happy atmosphere. I had the steak pie and it was the best I’ve ever had. Everything was cooked to utter perfection. Will definitely be back and I’m looking forward to the new menu next week!

Went tonight with my friend for her 30th food was amazing, staff were very polite and couldn’t do more to make you feel at home thanks for the great service and food will deffo be back xx

Well what can I say. Burns night the menu looked real good, took my family 7 of us fantastic meal staff so friendly and helpful the food was unbelievable was so so good will definitely recommend you all come here such a great atmosphere thanks again for making our burns night fantastic xx

We had the handmade burgers last night. What a choice and they didn't disappoint. Making dinner tonight thinking I want another one! Great service and the place is looking lovely. Will definitely be our new go to place for a burger! The gin menu was an added bonus! Looking forward to our next visit. Thanks

Recently hosted a baby shower at marviks, massive thank you to house keeping for transforming the ‘man cave’ to suit the needs of the baby shower, assisted with the transformation and decoration of the baby shower �� the chef also put on an amazing buffet with various options and a range of choices for everyone which honestly was amazing � and a massive thank you to the staff on duty for helping with music and very attentive to the baby shower guests! There were 15 adults and 8 kids all together, if you are looking for a place to host a party or planning a reunion/get together I can’t recommend marviks enough! Will b booking here again.. photos to follow...

I have not 1 bad thing to say about marviks. Food is just top quality. Staff are so friendly and the atmosphere is just perfect.. Highly recommended to all. Defo a returning customer. Keep up the good work guys. It's paying off

Top class service

Came here for business lunch with a client. Was greeted by lovely staff, who were very attentive and welcomed us as soon as we walked through the door. We were seated in a very comfortable booth and drinks order taken. The menu has a fantastic range, I wish I could have had one of everything. I opted for the haggis bonbons as a starter which you could tell were prepared and cooked fresh to order. The sauce that came with was absolutely delish, not too overpowering with mustard and still creamy. As a main, I had the steak pie... THE BEST steak pie I've ever had, better than my own! Veg was cooked to perfection, not too crunch not too soggy, the mash was creamy and buttery and the pastry was flaky with that chewy bit in the middle.



I quite believe the lunch we had helped secure me a new client. It was a very comfortable and enjoyable experience. It's nice to walk into a place that is evidently cleaned daily and especially the toilets, which were immaculate and smelt so fresh.

Absolutely amazing atmosphere, all staff really friendly (been in a few times now lol) + totally female friendly. I like to be able to go into a bar, on my own, without being hassled by random male trying to chat me up!! Exactly what Leven’s been needing for a long time. Good luck 💕❤️💕 xxx

Rooms basic but clean good value for price although not a complaint but hope they didnt pay whoever fitted laminate flooring in room lol

The meal I had was lovely and tasty Compliments to the chef The only bad thing I can say is when I asked at the bar if I could have a slice of lemon in my drink the guy who served me walked over and picked the lemon up with his fingers and dropped it in my glass Yuch Do they not have tongs
