Isitfallingdown. co. uk is a website where you, a member of the public, can report any issues with structures you have noticed during your day-to-day life. We will provide you information on how to tell if certain defects are of concern structurally, or merely a concern aesthetically. You can then use our severity calculator to estimate the severity of the defect you have noticed. This information will then be collated in a database through the use of a report and, if necessary, forwarded to the relevant authorities. This site is initially being trialed for reporting issues with highway infrastructure along the M8 motorway. As the busiest and most dangerous road in Scotland, many of the bridges there are tending towards the end of their working lives. Please use the "types of Infrastructure" tab to find out more information about the deterioration of different types of infrastructure and use the reporting form along side the severity calculator (found at the bottom of each page) to submit your concern. MAWTS also specialise in providing detailed technical analyses on ageing infrastructure implementing advanced techniques, and are currently conducting forensic assessments on a critical segment of the M8 motorway.
