Wow! Honestly the best restaurant meal we have experienced in YEARS! The food was amazing. Wonderful setting and atmosphere; and the staff are fantastic. If it was possible to rate more than 5 stars here, I definitely would. The whole evening was flawless (and it takes a lot to impress me!). Will definitely be back, and will be recommending it highly to friends and family.

What a lovely gem of a place. Nice, warm and welcoming. Great menu. Great choices. I had Piri Piri Chicken which was delicious. I chose this as I had seen a photo of it on their page just recently and it did not disappoint. Friend had the fish and chips which were just melt in your mouth stuff. When it came to dessert I can never resist the sticky toffee pudding which I had with pouring cream. I’ve had this many times in many places and none could surpass the one I had in Max & Ben’s. The service was excellent. Polite, happy waitresses. Nice cappuccino. Very happy with this lunch. I’ll definitely make this trip again. Thank you girls.

Went here on Saturday (24th March) for mum and dads 50th wedding anniversary! What a place, beautiful on the inside and the food was to die for - especially the steaks! Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to come back!

Went for a run today and found this little diamond. What a lovely cosy and more to the point clean building. The staff were all professional and attentive. As a fussy customer I asked a few questions that was answered with no hesitation. Great little details such as the lovely carrot bread and bottles of water for the table. The food was amazing but be sure to take your appetite with you as the portions are slightly large (but good value for money). Wish I had been hungrier as i would have liked to try a pudding ���. As I said good value for the quality of food to the point my mum checked the receipt several times to make sure nothing bad been missed. One small but very minor thing was the scent in the ladies toilet was slightly overpowering but how much time do you spend in there. Already recommended several times today.

We stumbled across this place on Thursday evening whilst looking for somewhere to eat and WOW the food was amazing! The staff were so lovely, very accommodating and couldn’t have been nicer! The food is top quality, very tasty and worth every penny! If we’re ever in the area again we will definitely be making a stop here!

We decided on a whim to go and chance our luck for a table tonight. We have been twice before and both times it was amazing! They managed to squeeze us in before the dinner bookings (thankyou so much!) and we had, yet again, the best steak we have ever eaten!!Thankyou Max and Bens for your wonderful hospitality, awesome service and the most delicious steak every time! �

Ps the starters were absolutely spot on too!!!

Travelled 50 miles to try this place and I loved it! The Porterhouse steak was to die for. Cooked perfectly. Finished off with waffles with maple syrup and ice cream which was great too. Can’t say enough good things about this place and it won’t be long till I’m back.

Thankyou for a superb lunch today . Scampi was great. Gammon steak fab too. Full marks . And great coffee into the bargain . See you soon. P

Stumbled across this place on Saturday while looking for somewhere for lunch, staff were welcoming and food was delicious! Will definitely be back �

Nothing short of amazing!!!!!

Steak was cooked over a open grille and cooked to perfection. Restaurant is super clean, nice decor and staff are real nice.

Perfect place for a nice intimate meal out with loved ones and friends.

Myself and my husband went tonight for a meal and it was amazing!!! The staff were so nice and very friendly. Very keen to help with food selection and their knowledge of different steaks was spot on.

When the meal came it was beautifully presented and it tasted superb! Both steaks were cooked to perfection!

Will definitely be back very soon.

My boyfriend and I were at Max & Ben's for the first time yesterday and it was a fantastic experience. The food is excellent and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this amazing restaurant and we will definitely be back for another meal soon �

Lovely little place - my husband and daughter had their joint Birthday here last week. The staff made it a little more special with balloons on the table, which was a nice touch. Good quality food and plentiful. Service is very quick and polite. Thank you again.

Finally visited this wonderful bistro today, it’s an hours drive for us but totally worth it, the outside looks fresh and inviting, the inside was so cosy and very appealing decor and the ladies who greeted us and served us were so welcoming, polite and attentive, my hubby ordered the black pudding bon Bon’s and I ordered the goats cheese tart , we both thought they were well presented and tasty, our next course was burgers, hubby had jalapeño one I had the murder blue cheese..... Wow the burgers smell and taste amazing, just like they are straight off the BBQ, the best burger I’ve ever tasted, we declined pudding as we were totally stuffed, I also recommend the prosecco cocktail which consists of prosecco, raspberry gin and chambord, thanks so much we will definitely be back �

Finally managed to pop up to this lovely place for a lunch yesterday..my hubby and i thorouly enjoyed it..we had starters " and main courses they were all amazing..the staff were soo friendly and very welcoming..we will defo be bk to try an evening meal..but will be booking well ahead as its a very popular place.

By far the best place we have been for a meal! The staff was lovely and we couldn't fault anything at all.. steak was cooked to perfection. Everything was so tasty! It's a place u must go! Amazing ��
