At Hands On Maximise there is over 20 years experience of working with clients suffering from all different types of neuromusculoskeletal problems and injuries. By initially establishing the cause of the problem we help non sporting, as well as sporting people, of all ages and abilities, recover from acute or chronic problems. We also help athletes from recreational to elite level, from primary age to post retiral age improve their sporting performance!

Good to see lots of girls-all ages!- taking part in some type of exercise at the Scottish National Fitness Expo 2018 this weekend! Researched published this week said that “we are 33 times more likely to see a photo of a man playing sport in the newspapers than a woman. The knock on effects of this are less publicity and recognition for female sportspeople, as well as sending a negative message to the next generation of aspiring girls in sport - if they can’t see it, it’s muc...h harder to be it”.

Pull ups are so hard for girls! After years of practice I have finally managed a wide pull up on my own...allbeit just the one and form not great! I have been using bands and assistance from training partners. If you find them hard too then keep going as it will happen! Aiming for 2 now!

Congratulations to @sarah_calvert for winning gold last weekend at the Scottish U20 800m and 1500m 😃 Swipe to see where she was 2 years ago. In he first video she had no counter rotation and her overall stability required some work. In 2nd one she was starting to work on her trunk rotation. Sarah follows every program she is given to improve her stability and movement patterning. She is such a hard worker, a pleasure to work with and a great role model!

A good post from @mdhendricks! Hydration is so important but so often we say it is difficult to drink the water we should in a day yet we easily drink all these other things! If you are trying to cut your calories have a look at what you are drinking and try to swap some of this for water. It will also reduce your sugar intake or your artificial sweetener intake - another bonus!
