Fantastic agency - made finding a place and moving in really straight forward. Professional and personal service. Recommend them highly!

Worst ever letting agents!!! take your money, but as soon as you have any problems they don't wanna know and advise to go citizens advice beureu. You would think they would help having a 5 and a half month old baby and the rooms have Mold in them and windows won't shut!!! Yea great experience there and a duty for your customers I must say!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!

Utterly disgraceful. My sisters started renting a flat through Maxine Lester almost 6 months ago. One of their bike's was stolen from the alley where there is a bike rack and where the gates should be locked, one of the gates has been damaged and removed off it's hinge so it doesn't shut, my sister was told she can't keep her bike in the communal area as there are signs inside the building saying "No Bikes", therefor she had to keep her bike chained up outside where it is no longer secured because of the broken gate, the chain was then cut and the bike stolen. Maxine Lester still refuse to get the gate mended where it shuts off the bike area for some unknown reason.



A month later, as it started to get ridiculously hot, their fride/freezer broke, it kept shorting the circuits and turning off all the electrics. They called Maxine Lester to notify them where it took them almost THREE weeks to get someone to come over and look at it, then another week and a half to get someone over to measure the fridge to replace it. This was again, over a week ago and they still hadn't heard anything so my parents and I told them to ring Maxine Lester again, where they told them over the phone, "we will get someone over to measure the fridge/freezer to replace it in the next week"... They have ALREADY done this! This has gone on for a month now and my sister's still do not have a functioning fridge/freezer... They can't keep food or cold drinks, they can't even make the basic sandwich as they can't keep the damn butter! On top of that, it was incredibly hot, the tap doesn't let out cold enough water so they were stuck with warm drinks in the heat. The tennancy agreement clearly states that the property must be maintained from THEIR or the landlords end... I can't see how being without a fride/freezer for over a month is suitable living conditions. They don't give a rats a** about you once they get your money. I would also love to see how this is resolved because this is getting ridiculous.

Found Maxine Lester to be extremely unhelpful throughout our entire tenancy in one of their properties. The landlord was awful and never got back to us about problems with the house and Maxine Lester never chased him up or supported us. We were eventually forced to leave the property early due to very unhygienic sewage problems that they would not sort out. They now have relisted the property without even sorting the issue - ready for someone else to have to deal with. Would never use again. Cost us a lot of unnecessary money!
