Maxwell'S Clarkston

Yesterday after walking the dog - Poppy and I decided to try a wee refreshment a wine for me and water for her. It was very reasonably priced - the wine was a small bottle which was a large glass £3.95. The weather was great and we sat outside. So pleased to have a dog friendly place to go into for a drink - we need more dog friendly places in Clarkston!!

Yay, wine, beer, gin & chat. Carsberg don't do off-licenses but if they did........won't go anywhere else now �

Went in yesterday shortly after it opened. Staff were very welcoming and certainly have a great knowledge of their various products from wine, gin, whisky to beer.

Will be a regular customer.

Was struggling to find banana liqueur in any shop (my wee mum got a taste for it on a recent holiday). Had read the reviews and thought it'd be worth a try to pop into Maxwells to see if they stocked it. They didn't BUT offered to try to source it for me. Phoned me within a week to say they had it. Even offered me a choice of two different kinds. Great service Maxwells! Thank you (and my wee mum is dead pleased too!)

Such a great shop! Fantastic selection of beers, wines and gin. Staff are so lovely and know their stuff. I had them pick out a selection of craft beers based on my husbands current favourites and he loved them all!

Struggling to find Peroni red label lager and maxwells had it on the shelf � great wee shop

St Mungo on draught � and well informed staff. Happy days.

So much of a great selection. Amazing hospitality and family, such a good hostess, very helpful. Knows the range of alcohol and of course accompanying snacks for each beverage. ��highly recommend

Popped in on the opening day. Fantastic selection and brilliantly friendly staff. Will be back.

Onker was so helpful, excellent customer service! Done some wine tasting and was even told what food goes with what kind of wines. Superb !

Onker and Ryan most helpful. Plenty of wines, beer and gin to choose from, amongst other spirits. Had a taste of gin and wine �. Will definitely be back and for the wine tasting on a Friday. �Thanks guys

My fellow Clarkstonians.... If you have not yet visited Onka and his magic cavern...where have you been the last few weeks ! I encourage everyone to support this local venture, which is very easy..just go and pay him a visit ..you will be hooked.

Just want to thank you for your very generous prize of £50 that you donated to the Clarkston treasure hunt. We were very lucky to win it and had the great pleasure of picking up 2 special bottles from you today. Everyone should support your local independent shops and I will certainly spread the word about this little gem of a shop. Thanks again!!

Just pooped in for a bottle of wine for my husband's birthday, really friendly, helpful couple. Will be back for their tasting evenings very soon.

It's rare you find a place with genuinely knowledgable and friendly staff. Helpful and stocked with a huge selection of all kinds of craft beer. Exactly what Clarkston was needing! A joy to visit.

I have always loved the shop in Pollokshields, but this is even better. Wonderful selection of beers to keep my friends and I in fb #beertag every weekend.

Great selection of beers, spirits and wines. Great you can bring your dog in and they have an on-licence too for draft beer and 50p corkage per beer.

Great find! Huge range of top-notch craft beers, wines, gin, whisky and even cider. They also serve cold draught WEST St. Mungo in returnable litre bottles, and have extensive knowledge for those new to craft beer supping.

Fabulous selections with lots of choice. The staff are always so friendly and helpful, pleasure to use. A great addition to the Clarkston shops

Excellent addition to Clarkston. Finally a great local shop with a cracking selection of craft beer. It also has license to drink in the shop so it has now become my local for a drink.

Exactly what Clarkston needs. An off-licence that specialises in craft beer, wine and artisan Gin. No more wandering the supermarket aimlessly looking at generic lager or the odd bottle of Brewdog, this place has hundreds of bottles and cans to choose from as well as draught lager you can bottle for yourself. It will take me a while to work through everything they have �

Absolutely loved our gin tasting with Onker - what a fab way to celebrate our friend Gillian's birthday. Learned loads and had lovely drinks!

Absolutely excellent, from the wide range of craft beer (wine, champagne and spirits also) to the staff who are friendly, knowledgable and more than happy to take the time and help you with anything. Being a big craft beer fan myself, i would usually have to go to the city centre or failing that Wholefoods to pick up some craft brews. The prices in maxwells are much cheaper and they are centered at the heart of clarkston. Local heroes! What more could you ask?

A superb selection of Gin, beers and bourbon. A really friendly service too. Looking forward to Gin and beer tasting nights.
