This place really should come with a money warning it is so Very Very good one of the best wool shops I have found shame it is so far away from me. Think I am going to have to make sure not to visit the web site to often! Staff were outstanding and so very helpful.

Our first visit to Scotland and hubby found this little gem. This shop is like a Tardis! It's amazing.. As a newbie to knitting and crochet this shop has everything and anything you could possibly want and need. As an owner myself of a craft shop in South Wales it was lovely to speak to a member of staff who has the same amount of passion for handmade stuff as I do. Will most definitely be ordering online and coming to visit when we are next up that way. �

Just wanted to say thank you to the fantastic support I received earlier this afternoon. I had been battling with a lace knit pattern for hours - having to keep unknitting as I finished a row with too few stitches. The team were able to spot straightaway where I had been misinterpreting the instructions, and get me back on track. Friendly and super-efficient - what more could you ask for?

I needed a particular pattern and the yarn to make it very urgently, for my terminally ill mother. I found the pattern on McA Direct, used the information box to explain the situation and received an email the following morning to tell me the order was on its way by courier. It was with me within 36 hours of me placing the order. Customer service of the very best, sadly missing from so many online retailers, and excellent prices too. I'll definitely be back. I haven't bought a pattern from here yet but I have never been let down with wool choices. Even when I'm just trying to colour match a project not started with wool from here they usually come up trump's. AND they let my dogs in, even on rainy days which is massively appreciated.

I have been a customer at McArees since I moved to the UK 9 years ago. Throughout that time, their service has been nothing short of first class. The products they stock are plentiful, varied and excellent value. Their staff are helpful, knowledgeable, and dedicated to providing excellent customer service. The workshops they offer (I recently attended Debbie Abrahams' last design class) are great fun and very inspiring.



Now that I've moved away to England, I've become adept at ordering through the mcadirect website. The service is fast, postage is excellent value for money, and the entire process is customer focused, with constant updates on the progress of my orders.

I had an wonderful one-on-one lesson with Heather a couple of days ago. After many failed attempts of learning to crochet, it's finally clicked, all thanks to Heather's ability to break it down. I highly recommend her and am sure I'll be back!

I found McA Direct online when I was searching for a Paddington Bear jumper knitting pattern. They offered the pattern with yarn as a kit. The price was competitive with free first class postage. I ordered on Wednesday evening, it was dispatched on Thursday and I received it on Friday. Excellent service, thank you so much.

I did the beginners knitting class with Heather in Falkirk on Saturday! I absolutely loved it, Heather was soo lovely and explained everything really well! I ended up with a finished product which I never expected and have even knitted another one since! Thanks to Heather and the other girls in the class who were all great! Amazing value would absolutely recommend!

Can't wait to get it finished and onto my next project - being in the shop was liking being a sweet shop so keen to get my next project chosen!
