So sorry to hear that the young chef has been diagnosed with cancer. Must be a terrible shock for you all. Pity that Frances Jacques was sooooo inconvenienced. Some people must try to get a life. Loved it so much I went a 2nd time in 2 weeks. Great food, wine and dessert.

Ladies day out lunch .Booked a table for four people it was a calming atmosphere . Me and my cousin had the scampi was very nice even got a large serving of it more than nine pieces was great most places I have had it only give you like four to six pieces. Staff was very friendly and polite . Happy customer �

For two middle-aged Americans who were winging a trip through Scotland, this restaurant was a very happy accident. We had traipsed through several sites local to Inverness and found ourselves looking for dinner around 8 PM. Without a reservation, several other restaurants turned us away. Thank goodness! From the local whiskies to appetizers to dinner to dessert, we were thrilled with the entire experience at The Riverside Restaurant. The staff was attentive. The sister/owner works the service end. She was very accommodating, friendly and professional. The brother/owner, the head chef, was very talented. Hubby had salmon while I, who rarely eats red meat, had to try the renowned Aberdeen Angus. The bread pudding was a truly grand finale to a wonderful meal.

If anyone is near Inverness, don't leave things to chance like we did. Make a dinner reservation - - for The Riverside Restaurant. You will be as appreciative as we were.

Food was excellent.

Service great but only marred by the two waitresses chatting casually to each other quite loudly at the counter, a bit unprofessional in my opinion when you could hear them over & above the people at your own table.

A grand steak and ale pie, with good beer 😊
