McCandlish Farmhouse Confectionery is a family run business - we are the fourth generation of confectioners and chocolatiers, continuing this family tradition and going from strength to strength. . The home of World famous products such as Creamola Foam, Chelsea Whoppers, Scottish Tablet, Macaroon, MB Bars and many more products. Originally started by my grandmother, Agnes McCandlish and my father, Allan McCandlish in 1962, the business grew to become renowned throughout Scotland and across many continents and was even backed by the Scottish Parliament to bring back our world famous brand Creamola Foam. Allan was the driving force behind many of the product creations and was known for his love of confectionery and his knowledge of not only confectionery but the industry and was sought out by individuals and companies in Scotland and around the world for his expertise. He was passionate about teaching the next generation and ensuring the traditional "secret" recipes and techniques were handed down to his family. The business is now run by Agnes and Andrew - daughter and son of Allan McCandlish and continues to grow both in Scotland and around the word. Our head chocolatier, Alex McCandlish is the grandson of Allan and worked alongside him for many years until his death in 2020. Many of the products we now sell were the creation of Allan and have been passed down through the generations. Agnes has inherited his passion for creating or reviving the old traditional confectionery and we continue to bring these much loved old sweets and confectionery back to the marketWe hope you enjoy our delights as much as we do.
