This pub is one of the best I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying many a swally in. Nick is honestly the lovliest guy with a massive heart and the staff are gems too. Food is also the dugs bollocks. Top notch pub x

Still the best bar in Glasgow, with the best live music, the best staff, and the best atmosphere. Always has been, always will be.

One of the friendliest bars in Glasgow. Staff are always chatty and make the pub a great place to be whether visiting for a few beers or the weekly pub quiz. Would highly recommend this place to anyone who fancies a good night out.

Me and my Celtic daft brother were searching for a safe and friendly place to watch the game and we came here. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff, will definitely come again!

It has to be up there in the best pubs in Glasgow category. Great music, banter and atmosphere. All complimented by the staff and the fine array of bevvy, and let's be honest, that's what pubs are for. It never disappoints.

Ignore the sectarian one star reviews, no bearing on the place. One of the best music pubs in Glasgow and consistently welcome to everyone. Great food, DJs and bands, home away from home! You can't go wrong with Mcchuills! :)

Iconic Glasgow institution that is a must visit for music lovers, Nicky is a very welcoming host and great dj for old punks like myself.

Have been waltzing myself in; and dragging myself out of here for a number of years now. I'm not a Glaswegian - I'm not even Scottish: it matters not in here; the welcome you get; and the heartfelt warmth you receive as a human being, from the staff, is more than enough to make you want to come back and feel, "At Home", time and time again.



Nick, the owner is a top man - loves his music (you often find him doing an impromptu turn on the decks at the end of the bar, when you least expect it); and he's ably assisted by Andy and Fuzzy John, who are both great guys. The music on offer is always top notch.



As a travelling musician, it's great to have places like this in city's that you're visiting - I just wish there was a McChuills type bar, like this, in every town. Home wouldn't seem so far away, if there was. 10/10

Easily one of Glasgows best. Been there for various things, charity night, watching football & eating as well as drinks. In terms of warmness, atmosphere & consistency of service you'll struggle to find better.

Don't normally review places but stumbled across a quite clearly orchestrated attack on this boozer and felt only right to comment. Anytime I have visited, which has been random occasions but numerous, I have found it to be a great boozer. Live music, good clientele and as a pub, as well as a venue, tremendous. I will be going out of my way to nip in for a few this coming weekend.

Amazing bar with amazing staff and amazing bands. As an Edinburger this place always gets a visit when I venture west, easily one of the best bars in town for live music. Always great vibes 👏✊✌️
