Fixed my ring in a fraction of the time and at a fraction of the cost offered to me by one of the bigger jewellers in town. Friendly service, lovely shop.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with McDonald-Greene. My boyfriend bought my engagement ring from them and the stone chipped 4 months later. When we went back we were told it was not their problem and we were offered no financial help to fix the stone. I spoke to other jewellers who told me emeralds are the stone that is mostly likely to get damaged, McDonald-Greene never told my boyfriend this. My boyfriend was not offered a warranity either. The service was fine until they were paid and after they got their money they were just awful. Such a sad experience for us as buying an engagement ring should have been a lovely experience. I was very careful with the ring and made sure i didnt hit it off things but very quickly i noticed scratches on the stone and then the large chip happened. I am sure i didnt hit the stone off anything hard. I would not recommend this company and i feel very let down by the poor service we received.
