i spent hours in McLaren's picking my piano! in the end i bought two :) i can't fault them on their patience, delivery, tuning or customer service and upgrading my piano was a great decision.

What a fantastic shop. They have a great range of top quality products and the purchasing experience is a pleasure from start to finish. Jamie is extremely knowledgeable and makes you feel at ease from the moment you enter the store, finding out your requirements and suggesting pianos based on these. There is no pressure and you can try as many models as you like! The guys installed ours in the house with minimal disruption and no inconvenience whatsoever to myself. A truly top notch service and Jamie is a great guy - highly recommended. Thanks guys!

My personal journey to find the perfect piano took me first to Edinburgh, then to Glasgow, to London and finally back to Glasgow. Over a period of six months, I played more than fifty upright pianos before settling for a beautiful Bluthner Model A which I bought from McLaren's Pianos in Glasgow. The staff at McLaren's could not have been more helpful and supportive. They were the opposite of "pushy"' encouraging me to take my time and consider every option before making my final decision. My piano was delivered by a team of specialist piano movers and arrived in perfect condition. Subsequent enquiries and questions have been dealt with in a friendly and professional manner and I look forward to a long and happy relationship with McLaren's who will be maintaining my piano in the years to come. Highly recommended, very nice fellow who runs the place, brilliant service, always comes when you need him to, even though he's a highly busy and in-demand guy lol. Very fair price for his service and great man to talk to , if your in the market for a new or second-hand piano or just want some good banter and honest friendly advice, I'd highly recommend this place, Jamie is one of the most open and honest piano guys I've had the pleasure of doing business with, and I've seen quite a few over the years some of whom just are very pushy and not very nice not so with this plave.

From someone who has worked for five different piano firms across Scotland, and visited and established contact with many more this is the true insider’s review! I worked for Mclaren's several years ago and was involved with tuning, sales, deliveries and demonstrations… Jamie runs an excellent shop, and unlike some of the newer firms which are very salesman-oriented his expertise is built upon his solid experience as a time served tuner and technician, something I have had the pleasure to observe first hand.

From starting out many years ago refinishing, tuning and french polishing instruments from the ground up, to concert hires and demanding customers his practical skills are excellent, and everyone I have spoken to has found his sales manner fun, well informed and easy going; on many occasions I have seen his ‘matchmaking’ skills in finding the perfect piano for the customer, and his knowledge of the instrument means his advice is always well informed, and geared towards getting the best for what the customer is after.

Fantastic service from Jamie and helpers to move a very old and heavy piano from my mum's house to mine. In the process they also found and fixed a broken castor that had been missing for 3yrs! It had fallen inside the back cover of the piano. A bit of fiddling and filing got the castor back on and the piano is fully mobile again. Great service and very professional. Great advice on general maintanence and upkeep as well. Thank you and I will be calling them to get the piano tuned in a couple of months.
