Meadowbank Sports Centre

Used these facilities over many years and they are decent enough. They were good enough for 2 commonwealth games and have had numerous renovations to keep up to spec. They had last time I used it a fantastic table tennis room which was underused and therefore all to ourselves. And being a council facility and therefore part of the Socialist Republic of Edinburgh the rates are reasonable! Comrade 🚩😉

Loads going on in here; gym, indoor studios and courts, fitness classes, rpm etc. plus outdoor track and pitches too. Loads going on for all ages.

I love all the dance classes and the instructors. I am happy to go to the classes as often as I can.

I didn't know if I should put 2 or 3 stars but let's be nice, so 3 it is, and that because we just came back from there, we played squash, the place is awful. We used to play at craiglockhart, and there it's really nice and clean, but because it's too far away from our home we thought we should try here...but, no thank you, the place needs to be renovated. The lighting is so bad, there are holes in the ceiling, walls were ihhh, too bad I can't share the photos I took. Staff seemed nice and the place has potential, but you need to put some money in it. We are definitely not going back for squash there.

This place is absolute huge and offers so much in terms of fitness and sporting needs. A Olympic pool and running track. Football field, badminton and squash courts a and indoor basketball I believe. A gym is inside which I have been to once but their gear is old and needs updating but gets the job done. Would get 5 stars if it had a modernised overhaul

The reason I give this 5 stars is down to the way the staff conducted themselves with our disabled son. Could not fault them, one lady in particular actually apologised for us coming in the long way and not the short way, this was not her or the facilities fault, I did ask wife to call ahead to check. 😂

They gave us extra chairs so we could sit beside the mats during the judo as the spectators area was all upstairs. Service was excellent.

Building itself is a bit worn but I belive it's being pulled down and rebuilt (?). No point in putting this stars down on this. 5 stars for service.

Wide variety of facilities, with spaces also available for larger events.
Good provision is made for changing, with several changing rooms and toilets and lockers.
Some facilities show a little wear and tear, but the overall condition and availability of equipment, courts, fields, tracks, classes, activities and halls, is excellent.

Really good range of facilities, including indoor 100m track, good changing rooms and toilets! Parking isnt a problem
