About Merchiston Tennis Club
We pride ourselves on being a friendly, local tennis club for adults and children of all abilities. We have three all-weather artificial grass courts, an active coaching programme and a lively clubhouse.
Merchiston Tennis Club Description
Welcome to Merchiston Tennis Club, Edinburgh. We are a local friendly club, and we share the facilities with Merchiston Bowling Club - the combined club (Merchiston Tennis & Bowling Club) runs a busy Clubhouse with Bar, Large-screen TV and changing rooms /toilets /showers etc.
We have just finished rejuvenating the courts - replacing the 100 year old blaes with three all-weather artificial grass courts, two with floodlights. All members welcome. The Clubhouse is open year-round (though open less in the winter).
The club has a membership section for Standard Life employees, who use the courts as normal members.
The club aims to attract family members with children and build on its coaching and other attractions. We rely on the support of our members and their families to make our events, especially social ones, a success. Membership is open for applications.
Please note that Merchiston Castle tennis club is completely separate from Merchiston Tennis Club and can be located iin south-west Edinburgh. The 'Tennis Academy' is based at Merchiston Castle tennis club, not here.

Philip, Ted, Arman and Charlie kick off the junior team tennis season with the narrowest of victories over Colinton's U18 boys team. Thank you for some exciting play and a delicious tea.

Painting of the ladies changing room is underway. Ceiling today, wall prep and 2nd ceiling coat tomorrow, walls on Wednesday, woodwork Thursday. If you can spare a couple of hours at any point this week then come along. Volunteers definitely welcome!!!

Competitors just about survived the rigorous qualifying rounds, organisers remembered most of our finalists' names and spectators emerged broadly unscathed from a rather excitable bbq - all in all, a great day!
