We attended a wedding here, the venue was stunning and the food was delicious.
The rooms were lovely and spacious with a modern finish. The bed was a great size and really comfortable. We managed a visit to the pool after breakfast for some relaxation which was a nice end to a great weekend.
The staff were all friendly and helpful.

Came for a spa night for 2 with my partner, included room, 2 spa treatments, evening meal and breakfast - great deal and value for money. The room was beautiful, immaculate and very comfortable. The food was outstanding, the evening meal was a set menu as it was part of the deal however there was a great choice and not only was the food delicious but the service was really good too! My only fault would be with the spa, it was quite dated and not much of a spa in my opinion. The staff were lovely and helpful but it really wasn't the 'spa experience' I expected. Also the swimming pool etc was in need of a bit of attention.
If it hadn't been for those points, my review would have been 10 stars as the hotel and grounds were absolutely beautiful!

My wife and I were returning to Ardoe House Hotel for our 5th Wedding Anniversary, having had our Wedding in the hotel.
We chose Ardoe as our wedding venue because it is a stunning building and the food was fantastic. I am pleased to say that our return to the hotel was not a disappointment 5 years later. We had an excellent meal served by thoroughly friendly and professional staff. The room was very modern and very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable!!

All in all, I think that Ardoe House is a great place for a Wedding and an Anniversary trip!

The reception staff were welcoming and personable, in particular the young man who runs the bar. He is taller with glasses and hails from the south. This young fellow helped us with finding parking in Aberdeen so we could park and enjoy the day exploring. The next day he provided a destination of Stonehaven for us to drive to and enjoy. The spa is top notch and well staffed and clean from the gym to the pool and the sauna etc. The dining choices were perfect as were the food preparation and service. Sleeping was so easy on comfortable beds in quiet the rooms very well appointed and large. This is an excellent value for slipping away to the quiet of the country whilst remaining close to the city of Aberdeen.

We stayed one night with our dogs so that we could attend a local event. We really appreciated the room we were given, which was a long way from reception, but was therefore quiet, and had a door nearby leading to the extensive grounds. It was therefore very easy to let the dogs out for comfort breaks and fun. The room had obviously recently been refurbished and was very well equipped and comfortable. The swimming pool is lovely. The old part of the building has many beautiful period features and has been sympathetically refurbished. The only disappointment was a 40 minute wait for a light meal in the Drawing Room, although the food was very good when it eventually arrived. It was not busy - we were the only people eating! I do think the staff on reception could use some better training. We were not bothered, but I can see that foreign visitors might be less than impressed. Receptionists need to smile, look guests in the eye and generally be more friendly. The young staff we met around the hotel were much better at this. We would recommend this hotel for a relaxing break, and would stay here again.

Stayed here overnight as a treat for my husbands birthday and enjoyed our visit from start to finish.
Complimentary upgrade, bottle of wine, fudge and personal card greetings from the management on arrival set us up nicely.
Room was lovely, modern and clean and comfortable. Grounds/ gardens invited a walk with tables outdoors to relax and enjoy the view and early evening sun .
Our meal couldn't be faulted both in terms of presentation and quality - shout out to the chef!
Used the bar for family meet during the evening and the leisure pool before breakfast. Every member of staff we met were welcoming and friendly which I grade highly. Thank you to all - We will return!

The room was up to standard, the bathroom was good for my wife and her problems. The breakfast was good of its type. The staff were universally cheerful and very helpful. However the dining room menu was very limited and obviously set out for the two night coach trade. The confusion between the Room Service, the Bar and the Dining Room menus was puzzling and needed determination to find a way round the three. The extent of the 'bruised paint' on many of the doors, particularly the entrance to this outstandingly fitted out building was regrettable. As we were there at what could be regarded as the start of the tourist season the maintenance should have already have taking care of the paintwork.

On the design side, which idiot placed the 'adapted' room so far from the lift? That 100 m. corridor was a continuing daunting experience for my wife and her walking aid. The absence of storage in the room made the hotel not suitable for a stay longer than two nights.

If the deal is right then the Ardoe is the choice hotel for me to stay for work in Aberdeen. I use the gym and pool when there and both are excellent standard.
Each time I've ended up in the bar having dinner as the football was on so that ticks a lot of boxes for me, plus the fish and chips served are delicious.

Rooms are very comfortable with excellent large beds.

All in all a top hotel.

My husband & I travelled up to Aberdeen for my cousin's wedding, which was also held at this venue. We had an amazing time. The hotel was superb. Our room spacious and beautifully decorated, and such a huge bed that I wanted to take back home. We loved the breakfast room and the good variety of food. The staff were friendly and greeted us with a lovely 'good morning' and a pot of tea. We both wished we could have stayed longer. I would highly recommend to friends.
