Held a party at this establishment recently and was shocked disgusted and outraged with the extortionate prices at the bar, The difference in prices being charged at upstairs bar to the venue bar. The bar staff and manager was very rude and abrupt edging on ignorant. Certainly will never be back in this hotel again.

Bring ear plugs if you want to get sleep. Rooms have very little noise isolation between them, and you can hear people walking on the streets going home from the bars. This was on the fourth floor. Rooms were a little dated, but overall clean. Breakfast was good and the staff were very nice and helpful.

Located in central Inverness, very easy to stop in and out whilst touring around town. My room was on the top floor, with great views onto the city and the skyline; bathroom was fairly new with a rain shower and all expected facilities. Room was very clean, and a welcome addition were the woolen pillow cases and blanket.

At night, the acoustic insulation in the room was terrible. The window has a 'noise reducing device'... but being so high up, all the voices from below could be heard. Either that, or people are rowdy even on the Monday night. If I have to use airplugs to get some sleep, that is a problem.

Water pressure in the rain shower and the radiator was very very terrible and needs to be looked into.

A few fixes and a little more investment could make the hotel great again!

Rooms are small, but nice and clean and we have a nice view of the River Ness. We weren't there to hang out anyway, just there for some tours. Ate at the bar/brassiere, and food was alright but the waitresses disappeared it seemed after a time; had to go to the bar to get a check. For those who didn't know (like us), there's no heat during the "summer" (even with temps in the 40s/50s at night), so ask for a radiator & make sure it's a newer model. We had to ask 2 times for one and it quit working. The staff is very nice and willing to help work things out so don't be shy in asking. All in all, not a bad stay, just not super either.

We have just had a 3 day stay at this hotel. The room was nice but we had no hot water for over 24 hours. The lack of concern from the staff annoyed me. We finally got a note put under our door after midnight with to apologise. I noticed when we let nobody asked how our stay was. I guess they didn't care. They probably thought we'd ask for a discount which we should have got automatically. Location was good.

It's a clean and comfortable hotel with all you will need amenities. The location is a winner as it's right on the bank of Ness river and in the centre of town. Despite that its not noisy. A bit pricey yes. In case you are looking to save you can definitely look at more options. Most restaurants around close by 9:30 pm and you should definitely make a reservation at most of them as they are pretty fool.

This is based on a Christmas Party - food was still being served at 9pm they were running so late, we ordered drinks for the table in advance, nothing supplied, too few chairs were at our table, the room was over crowded and the disco started before the tables were cleared. Really not all that impressed. The food was OK.

Disorganised and very unhelpful staff.
This was when trying to arrange an interview I'd been offered however, maybe it's a fantastic place to stay but my experience with them as a potential employer wasn't very encouraging

Out of all the Mercure's I've had the pleasure of staying in, this did not measure up to their usual high standards. The bathroom was cold with no working heating and it was outdated. They were undergoing reservation work downstairs in the bar/lobby area so there was no bar, only room service. It wasn't a noise nuisance at night but the place was s bomb site and they never informed me of this work at the time of booking. Room service was overpriced so I had an early morning breakfast in McDonalds at the top of the street. Overall, I would not stay there again. The staff were however nice, friendly, and did try and make my comfortable.

I can only speak as I find and I thought this place was brilliant. Spotlessly clean room, great welcome on arrival and one of the best breakfasts in the morning. What's not to like? We were in the privilege room that had been refurbished and the decor was ace. Couldn't fault it.
