Was here on 27th celebrating my husbands birthday. There were 4 of us and none of us could fault the food or the service. The two men had the 18oz rib eye, they were cooked to perfection. One had fillet which melted in your mouth and the non red meat eater had chicken which was delicious. All had three courses and could not say a bad word about any of it. ��� loved it

This was our 2nd visit to M&C at Cramond would recommend it 100% Steaks were WOW all food and drinks were excellent the wedge of lettuce was nice to cleanse your palette before our excellent steaks, we were well looked after during our visit well done to all Staff. �

Had a great meal here in September for our engagement � food was amazing � service was great! We got a complimentary glass of bubbly served on a nice plate all decorated with strawberries saying congrats�� what a lovey surprise �... we have also returned a few times for lunch and its well worth the money!!

Came here on Tuesday for my 21st with my family. Everything was lovely and the staff were amazing, In particular the waitress who attended to us, but I’ve sadly forgotten her name! everything came quick as can be, and amazingly cooked and the tomahawk was delightful. My mum and dad who had never been were also very impressed! Thanks so much for a great birthday! Always a great service here. Definitely be back soon! X

The meal we had was excellent and steaks cooked to perfection. The wine glasses on our table still had lipstick marks and were looking dirty.



Service was good until half way through I asked for another drink, I then finished my meal and about 5 min after that I got my drink.



Cleaning the tables has a lot to be desired, the girl sprayed and anything left on the table(crumbs, dropped food) was simply swatted to the floor and landed under the table and chairs.

Eat here quite often and yesterday was probably the best meal we’ve had here, steak is always cooked perfect and the service is always fast and friendly! The only downside here is when you go to the toilet, you catch hypothermia, it’s always freezing, that’s upstairs toilets and downstairs! We will be back, as always ... with coats on �

Unfortunately having been to the Miller and Carter in Edinburgh centre we decided to try this one, expecting the same level of service and food. Unfortunately it wasn’t and we didn’t enjoy our meal at all. 3 steaks were cooked completely wrong and we had said to the waitress, I still ate mine (wasn’t inedible, however if you ask a customer how they would like it cooked it should be done to exact requirement, I find it astounding that they managed to get three out of four wrong) we had one steak taken off the bill (that one was inedible) and a bottle of wine taken off as compensation. While I find it great that they compensated us some what I did begrudge spending £106 for what we had. I asked the waitress to ask the chef if they could make my peppercorn sauce creamier than usual, she outright said no, not even she would check as it’s pre-made � Having been served by Marko at the Edinburgh centre branch who explained they don’t usually do this but would ask the chef for me and they did do it for me is where the customer service exceeds that of this one. Just going out of your way to show you want to give the customer the best experience possible is where the restaurants differ, the whole experience is completely different the attitude of staff is different and you wouldn’t think they were the same company if you took away the name. My suggestion? Get the head waiters/ chefs from the city centre branch and retrain your staff up at Cramond Brig - had I of been here first I wouldn’t have even tried the one in town. Next time I will just go back there.

Some staff could do with some training as it cost nothing to smile if you are really that unhappy at your work get a new job ! ....apart from that our lunch for 2 at 80quid was quite good .

He was polite but I wouldn’t say it was good service, I had to get his attention a few times as he didn’t ask if we wanted more drinks or if the meal was okay. Considering I paid £65 for 3 people I’d expect it all to be good. I would definitely go back though.

We waited just over an hour before we got our food (we went straight for mains) the restauranr was not at all busy so this wait was not needed.

During the hour we waited for food we could see behind the bar from our seats. Me and my mum kept discussing how long it would take the waiters to empty the overflowing bin... This never happened.

A waiter came along and pushed all the rubbish down with his bare hands and then walked straight to the kitchen! There's a possibility he washed his hands in there, but I'm sure most people would agree it's unlikely. He then brought us our food 5 minutes later. �

We arrived at 2:40 and by the time we left at 4:30 the bin was overflowing again and the waiters were still putting more rubbish on top!

So in short, not all its hyped up to be. Desserts were fab but the cleanliness was worrying and the service not fantastic. I most likely won't be back, to this particular branch anyway.

Just been for lunch and was very disappointed with our experience. Service was very slow and staff members were unable to crack a smile during our visit. Unfortunately the burgers we ordered were only slightly warm and very chewy steak. We cancelled our desert order as wanted to leave.

Couldn’t enjoy meal because the heat in the restaurant was unbearable. I asked to open a window or put on air con and I was advised that the they couldn’t open windows however the doors were open. All we could smell was cigarettes whenever people were smoking outside. I understand it’s warm but surely you should have fans or are able to open windows. We were going to get desserts and have more drinks but we couldn’t because it was too hot to stay. It’s our 10th wedding anniversary today and we were out to celebrate but we left very disappointed as it is usually exceptional

Arrived at booked table time - table not ready told to wait. Not a great start.

Waitress took our orders and meal arrived minus 1 dish - had to ask the waitress where it was - it arrived a few minutes after asking

Asked for another road of drinks to the same waitress - waited 15mins no drinks. I went to bar and waiter said no order of our drinks. Gave order and then had to wait another 5mins for them to brought over!

Service not great and would put me off returning

Re food - out of 3 of us 2 good meals 1 not so good - steak sandwich was to be cooked medium came well done. For a steakhouse not great if you can’t cook steak to requested wait!

This is the second theme we have been here, first time the T Bone steak was over cooked.... however, we thought we would give it a second chance... wish we didn’t bother !

Again T Bone was over cooked to my partners liking....and very very fatty and gristly , after complaining was told maybe he should have ordered the “medium “ rather than medium well to get what he wanted !!!!

We also ordered lobster on the side....first one came it was over cooked , cold n rubbery, sent it back n second one was worse!!!!

We couldn’t eat it.....

The seasoned fries...came and not seasoned fries....

Whole meal was for a birthday and was a disaster.... ( I felt bad as It ruined his birthday lunch ) although they took some money off the bill....where I would have rather had a proper meal than a discount....for calling themselves a steakhouse...they need to get a chef that can cook a steak...would be a good start!

Will deffo not be back a 3 rd time ...and now being picky.. but I was on a booth type seat at the window, I had to clean it to sit down....looked like the table had been wiped from people before....onto the seat!!!

Whole meal was for a birthday and was a disaster.... ( I felt bad as It ruined his birthday lunch ) although they took some money off the bill....where I would have rather had a proper meal than a discount....for calling themselves a steakhouse...they need to get a chef that can cook a steak...would be a good start!

Will deffo not be back a 3 rd time ...and now being picky.. but I was on a booth type seat at the window, I had to clean it to sit down....looked like the table had been wiped from people before....onto the seat!!!
