Wow what a place. Was made feel really welcome from the off set. Waiting staff were all really friendly and genuinely interested in you. Food was out of this world. Been to many a steak house and by far I’d go to say this has to be the best yet. Definitely be back �

We went as a mid week treat, if you are looking for a place to go for a lovely steak then this is the place to go.

The food is amazing and the staff are so friendly and helpful.

We had a superb dining experience at this restaurant on Tuesday evening. Our waiter Ian was attentive and extremely helpful. We will definitely be returning as we had the best steaks ever. Would highly recommend a visit here as I’m sure your experience will be as great as ours was. The prices are as expected for the service and food received.

Once again we were not disappointed with the food wine and service our server saray and the waiters were 1st class sat outside with a table of our choice place was busy and had a great meal thanks again to saray and the team will be back for sure

My first time at a steakhouse � .. will 100% be back! AMAZING!! .. The girl with the red hair and glasses ( Andrinna ) im sure .. she was brilliant ! explained everything to me and what it all meant etc went alot more miles than what she had to! Its employee’s like her that make’s your customers come back! THANKS GUYS �

Loved my food on my last visit and even booked my parents an anniversary meal where the staff were very kind and gave them an anniversary plate as well as wishing them the best. Great food and staff. I have also been to Edinburgh where it was not so welcoming.

Love this place staff and food is awesome ��� Wer in at least every Tuesday when child free lol staff know us now a think lol always made feel so welcome � Love our steaks from here and won't eat it anywhere else lol x

Arrived quite early and was given the option of going straight through to our table or having a drink in the bar first. We chose to have a drink first and our table was made available when we requested it. Our waitress for the night was Rebecca, she was friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu - her recommendation for dessert was exactly what I was looking for, a lemon posset tart with strawberry and prosecco sorbet. Needless to say, we are looking forward to a return visit.

Arrived 10 mins early for our booking but were shown straight to our table. Our server Saray was excellent. She paid attention to what we were saying and even picked up on it was our 1st Wedding Anniversary surprising us with a happy anniversary plate with our deserts. The food was outstanding. Have no reservations in recommending Miller & Carter in Newton Mearns for a delicious steak in a lovely setting with attentive none obtrusive staff

Absolutley amazing best steak house we have been to in over 20 years, the food was just amazing, fab service and cracking setting, will definetly be back and have already recommended it to friends 5 star +

1st time here for us, food was amazing and didn’t wait long at all. Waiter was very nice and friendly, I think his name was Kyle. Would definitely recommend and I don’t think it will be our only time there.

When they get it right it’s very good. 4 visits now, had issues on 2 of them. For a steakhouse you’d think they could get a rare steak right. Came well done! Sent back..next one was not even bleu! By this time 3 of us had eaten ours. To be fair that steak was taken off the bill and desserts on the house. Would still recommend. Lunch menus pretty good too.

Took my kids for a treat as it's usually just the Mrs and I that go kids are 10 and 8 and had there kids menu which is very good value and good food our food was of the highest standard again 12oz sirloin to die for beef dripping sauce amazing BUT we waited nearly an hour and a bit for our main s to come I'm not saying anything was wrong with the food it was great as it always is but it was a bit of a wait for dinner at 6pm it's not as if it's 5he busiest time of night

Okay I have to begin by saying that M&C in Glasgow is one of my favourite restaurants. This is partly due to the incredible building,complimented by first class food,service and atmosphere.

We had a Christmas meal with our daughter and son -in -law at the Newton Mearns branch,which was enjoyed by all. On a personal review, I found it to be lacking in the standard of the city centre branch.

Yesterday we returned,as a family group of 8 adults and two children to celebrate the birthday of our daughter.

I must mention here that among our party was a chef and avid meat eaters for whom eating is to be enjoyed and savored.

The staff were attentive and helpful,we had a six month old and a two year old, high-chairs were offered/provided.

Starters ranged from mushrooms,nachos and the sticky wings. Mains from burgers to steak, desserts from brownie to ice cream.

Throughout, our server was attentive without being intrusive.

All have it the thumbs up and declared it a great choice.

Had a lovely Easter lunch with family yesterday, fabulous food within warm and welcoming surroundings. We ate from the set menu and were delighted with all courses. Staff were very efficient and friendly, only down side was the children’s choice was a bit limited, so we will leave children at home next time � and will be back at the earliest opportunity ����

Rude member of staff, food delicious! Tried here for the first time last night after a friend recommended it. Arrived early so took a seat in the bar and ordered some drinks, one a pint and the other a cocktail. Waiter came to table with drinks, I asked for a straw with cocktail and I was told that we try not to give straws (which I appreciate given the focus on the plastic in the ocean recently) I said ok, however I’d still like a straw if I could please. I was then abruptly advised that I should have asked for a straw when I made an order. How rude! I don’t expect this in a local pub never mind such a lovely restaurant with great surroundings, atmosphere and more importantly food. I would return as meals were gorgeous however this member of staff should really change his attitude. On the other hand our server, I’m sure his name being Kyle was very efficient.

Having been to Miller and Carter in Glasgow and Edinburgh, we thought we would go to Newton mearns and all I can say is that’s I was so disappointed in the food we received, I had the 12oz sirloin which had a lot of fat on it and the person I was with ordered the 20oz T-bone and again it was very grissly, with prime cuts of meat like that the steak knife should have glided through it with out an effort. I also asked for another wine and it never arrived, however I will give our waitress credit she did notify management and gave us Our drinks free of gratis.

I Was very disappointed with my experience here.



Given that miller and carter has such a good name, I was looking forward to my experience.



Firstly, I was given the worst pint of peroni I’ve ever tasted. It was flat and warm and not the cheapest of pints might I add.



The food was average. I asked for my steak rare which it did arrive at that , but rather than a hot sear , it was luke warm and grey.



The starters didn’t knock me off my seat (calamari) and the sides are chips were bland



For £80 a couple, stick to picolo el vino on the mearns Rd and go home with half your money.
