Description
Working in the fields of education, spirituality, social-welfare, interfaith and inter-cultural harmony and global peace. In July 2011 the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) has formally recognised and granted a 'Special Consultative Status' to Minhaj-ul-Quran International.

General Information
Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI) is a broad based Islamic organisation representing the true vision of Islam, working for peace, love, knowledge and positive integration. It promotes education of classical Islam in the contemporary context. MQI was founded by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri in October 1980. Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, a professor of international law and a prominent authority on Islam has authored more than 400 published works. Dr. Qadri developed his organisational network in more than 90 countries in the span of just 30 years. To date, with over a thousand educational institutions we are one of the largest non-governmental organisations in the world.
