Went for dinner last night ...fabulous ..hubby had steak i had smoked salmon salad ..then sticky toffee pudding and choc caramel tart ...staff were fantastic...liked it so much we had coffee and cake today 5* plus will be our wee fav place now in st andrews

We had afternoon tea and it was lovely. Our waitress was very welcoming and helpful. For another star we would have liked slightly more jam and cream for the enormous scones! :D

We came in yesterday for a wonderful breakfast. The staff were very friendly and the food was out of this world and excellent value for money too and the portions were very generous which is always good! Will definitely be coming back beee in our next holiday to St Andrews.

Popped in for lunch for my wife's birthday yesterday. Staff were great and food was lovely. When our youngest girl decided she didn't want the kids pasta our waitress very kindly offered to replace it with another option. When we were about to leave, another waitress discovered it was my wife's birthday and so gave us some cake to go! Very nice touches - excellent customer service!!

My son is at uni in St. Andrews and this is now our go to place. Food is always great. Usually there is something a little unusual. Prices not horrific either. Love it.

Loverly place great food. We visited for the open 2015 and called here for breakfast. Not the cheapest place but you get what you pay for. Brilliant and staff were very good

Great food at reasonable price. Cullen skink was very nice, lovely big bowl, meal in itself. Staff very friendly and efficient. Kids meal good value too. Lovely fresh local and Scottish produce used.

Dined here for breakfast. Great menu and food was top notch. Food arrived lovely and warm on hot plates. Particularly loved the tea cosy's on the tea pots...a nice touch. Deli counter had lots of interesting things on display, with Xmas coming up some great stocking fillers. By dining in Forgan's that weekend, we also had a 20% discount to use. Recommend highly for a great experience!

Absolutely fantastic, not a bad word to say! My husband and I were here last night celebrating our 2 year wedding anniversary and we had a great time! All the staff were very friendly and helpful, excellent atmosphere, the live music was great and of course the food was delicious. Prices were very reasonable for great quality food and drink. Would recommend to anyone!

Pleasant staff , nice tea food arrived in dribs and drabs very tasty though.

Had the avocado smash and added crispy bacon, fresh chilli and lime with no issue with my request. It's not cheap but very nice and will be back.

The food is reliably good but the service is quite haphazard at best, long time even when quiet to get plates cleared or offered another drink or the bill.

I had full breakfast witch was great my wife ordered eggs royal which was bearly luke warm and asked staff to heat it up it was taken away and new one cooked good reaction from staff

Portion size for the avocado on sour dough bread was miserable. Tasty but there was 1 small slice of bread and about one teaspoon of smashed avocado. Egg nice n runny! Ovrlerall tasty but tiny. Overpriced for what it was.

Over priced. Horrible sandwich with huge chunk of bread and hardly any filling. It used to be good but I won't be back. Not good to feel ripped off �

Mitchell's was recommended by my mum who had went on Saturday. I went with my brother on Sunday for a belated birthday meal however service was incredibly slow, we waited just under an hour and people who arrived after us were served hot food before us. The food was pretty average, definitely had better. I wouldn't rush back. Also the lighting is irritating on your eyes. It was like someone was sat changing the intensity every few minutes.

Very disappointed. After having researched where to have brunch in st. Andrews, we were looking forward to eating here. We both ordered avocado on sourdough with poached eggs. When the food arrived, we were very let down by the lack of food on the plate. 1 slice of sourdough, a skim of avocado (1/4 of an avocado, if even) and 1 poached egg which was undercooked (watery/gooey white). It was as though 1 fill portion had been divided between 2 plates. At £7.95 pp, we feel completely ripped off. Will not be back.

Sadly we ordered the afternoon tea and it was mostly inedible �

The rolls were hard and the scones were equally hard�the chocolate cake was dry and stale.

A complete waste of £20
