Award winning children's pre school music classes in the South side of Edinburgh with an original four stage curricula written how children learn best.

Monkey Music provides age appropriate music classes from children from 3 months to 5 years. The progressive nature of the four-stage curriculum starts with the gentle magical Rock’n’Roll class for babies and finishes with the Ding-Dong class, where the independent pre school age children are learning to read basic music and recognise the instruments in the orchestra. Quality age appropriate percussion instruments are introduced in each of the four levels. The jam-packed classes are 30 minutes long, the optimum time to captivate the inquisitive little learners. The curriculum has been recognised in many leading industry awards such as the winner of Best National Pre schooler Development Activity 2010 and winner of Best Toddler Development Class 2008 as voted by parents across the UK.

The Monkey Music curriculum was devised by Guildhall School of Music and Drama graduate Angie Coates, Monkey Music’s founder and Managing Director in the 1990’s. With both a professional musician and teaching background, she has continued to ensure that the classes are full of fresh activities, new resources and with a wide range of songs and music.
