Morag'S Crafty Bothy Description
A visit to the Bothy is ideal for all the occasions, from a morning or afternoon out to a Birthday Party. From a wide range of white ware called 'bisque' for you to choose from. Select an ornament, money bank, mug, plate or bowl the choice is endless! There is something to suit everyone. Everything you need to paint your chosen piece is provided. When you've finished your piece, it will be fired in the kiln and then it's yours to take home.
Craft Classes held afternoons and evenings. Check posters locally or phone for more details or check on this page for events. Ideal for Adults, children, families, Birthday parties, School trips, Hen parties, Office parties, Friends 'get together' and Club outings. Visit my Craft Shop and Studio soon

The bothy will be closed Saturday 15th Dec as I have a stall at the Dores Christmas market. Come along for some fun and find some last minute presents ππ. I'm sorry the Bothy will be closed from today (Sunday 28th October) till 6th November as I will be taking a wee break. I will still be taking and completing orders and taking bookings . We visited Morag's crafty Bothy whilst on holiday just before Easter. It was a rainy Sunday afternoon and it was a fantastic way to spend the afternoon being creative. Morag was on hand with helpful tips, suggestions and encouragement. Between us we painted 2 Nessie theme mugs, 2 tiles and a highland coo themed butterdish! Lovely souvenirs of our holiday in the Highlands. We would highly recommend visiting and painting some lovely pottery and another plus for us was that our little dog was able to come too! There is also a fab gift shop and you can have a drink and snacks. Shame the Bothy is so far away from us as we would visit often. Hope to visit again in the future though! Thank you Morag.
We had such a lovely, unexpected afternoon at Morag's after we chanced upon it on the way up from the falls. Such an adorable, welcoming space to spend a drizzly afternoon painting ceramics with the kids, and the baked goods were delicious! Thank you, Morag!! xx
We came to Morag's Crafty Bothy whilst on holiday in the highlands. They were friendly and kind and my children absolutely loved it. Highly recommended x
The kids wanted to try out this crafts thing and decided to text Morag to check out time and all. She replied immediately and confirmed. Next day we were there and loved every minute we spent in her crafts shop, she had all we asked for and shared her knowledge and experience. Apart from the kids, my wife and great friend rolled up their sleeve and got down to dirtying their hands too. The result was great and fullfilling and would recommend this experience at Morag any day, especially on a rainy one which was great to spend inside her bothyοΏ½.
Love the sheep milk pot, the best souvenir at Loch Ness:)
Little gem and the girls luved it have a dragon and owl being painted
Gorgeous little shop. We were staying up near fort augustus for a few nights and the kids loved coming to paint their lovely ornaments the best! Holly had a panda and Nola had a pussy cat! Thank you for a great experience the kids just loved it!
Fantastic, love going to the evening classes held on Wednesday night, to paint ceramic pieces.
Booked Morags Crafty Bothy in Fort Augustus for my daughters 10th Birthday. All of the kids had a great time (as did the adults). We had a great time painting our animals, the party food was enjoyed by all as was the Birthday cake. Elanor loves her 10th Birthday plate which she was given by Morag and is using it all the time. I collected the finished art works today and the kids will get them all tomorrow and they look great. This was really worth the money, everyone had a great time. Us adults had so much fun we are thinking of organising a mummies morning. Thank you Morag for a great morning.
