Morangie Hotel Tain offers a gastro pub experience, with a wide and varied professional menu. We use mainly local fresh food , fish, meat etc. The Hotel is a country house experience and has 26 bedrooms. The Hotel has open fires and is easy to find off the main A9, last or first turning into Tain. Our Sunday Carvery is famous in the area.... Tain dates back to 1066 and is a safe and picturesque small village atmosphere.

We had the most amazing meal. It was the most beautiful surroundings and the food was so good we just wished we had found the morangie hotel at the start of our holiday. We will book to visit Scotland again because it is so beautiful and visit morangie hotel again.x

I've heard lots of negative reports about the Morangie lately ,however we took a couple of friends there for lunch on 29th August the staff were on the ball .attentive and enthusiastic .the food was great will defiantly be back .Well done the Morangie Hotel

Stayed for just one night whilst in Tain on business , Hotel is a little Oldy worldy but it suits it just fine, lovely log fire in the bar, decent beers on tap, a good hearty dinner , the room was warm , clean and comfortable if a little dated , it ticked all the boxes and I felt it was very good value for money... breakfast was very good and plentiful, if I could have eaten 2 they would have given 2.

The staff are friendly polite and professional, if ever I’m in Tain again I would not hesitate to stay again...

Good Work Morangie hotel and staff.. 10/10.
