Beautiful sunrise this morning.

Massed Pipe Bands, Dufftown Highland Games, 28th July 2018. You need to be there to truly appreciate the atmosphere 😲😍.

User

Many thanks to Alan McWatt for allowing us to show you these amazing photographs he took of the Bow Fiddle Rock near Portknockie whilst he was staying at Moray Cottages. I think it was worth those pre dawn starts (ie the middle of the night) Alan!

Rob has finished the new fence. It needs painting but no rush for that. I think it looks pretty good 😎😎.

User

Starting on the new fence. Rob taking his time as his back still isn’t right. It’s going to look so much better without the massive Spruce trees taking away the light ☀️.

User

What could be better on a hot and sunny day than the Giant’s Chair walk along the Dullan water at Dufftown 🐶🐶.

LAST MINUTE CANCELLATION.
Stable Cottage has become available from Saturday 12th May for one week. Booking can be done on our website 😊.
Get well soon James and hopefully we’ll see you later in the year for a bit of R & R. 😍.

User

I know you all like to see Rob hard at work 😁. We’ve taken down the large conifer at the back of the cottages as it had got far too big. Also moved all the firewood, that’s been seasoning for the last 3 years, into the barn. Just the new fence to put up and it’ll look great. 😁

User

Love it when the lambs gang up and mess around in the sun.

User

Finally it really feels like Spring and we’ve had two busy days getting the gardens sorted. Flowers are now in the planters, borders tidied up and the lawns have been scarified and raked. Lots more to do but not bad going when you consider that last Wednesday we woke up to snow 🙄.

User

Finally finished the Cottage Dog montages for 2017. 🐕🐕Something I always enjoy doing😍.
I apologise if I’ve missed anyone off. It does sometimes happen as I’m not infallible 😳.

User

Snow, snow everywhere! We haven't been hit as hard as some but it was necessary to "fire up the quattro" yesterday to clear the track. It had drifted in a bit by this morning but we'll leave it until tomorrow to clear it again. Hopefully the worst of the weather is done with for now :-).

Speyside has been nominated for Holiday Destination of the Year by Countryfile Magazine Awards 2018 😍. Voting is open until 5th March 2018. Please use your vote to support Speyside 🙂.

Time for another bonfire to get rid of all our garden rubbish. Perfect day for it.

User

I know a lot of people are suffering with bad weather but I have to say that we've been very lucky and had some cracking weather. Another beautiful day today and although we have a little bit of snow it's nice and grippy so no slipping and sliding around :-).

User

On BBC2 tonight, 27.12.17. Roads less travelled. Cameron McNeish travels over 300 miles through some of Scotland's most impressive wild places, starting around Ben Rinnes before heading over the Dava Moor. Nice to have something local :-).

My Christmas present from Rob. A beautiful painting of Bella and Tom by Lyn Wells of ARTful Creatures.

User

Wishing all our guests past, present and future a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
After the power cut on Christmas Day last year, Santa Claus has made an early delivery to Moray Cottages of a generator so that everyone can rest easy about cooking their turkey! Unfortunately Santa is picking it up again on the 6th January as he’s only hiring it to us 😊.

User

Thank you Allison. Bella and Tom think their coats are amazing! Will definitely keep them warm in the cold weather :-). xx

We had a lovely week at Mill Cottage. Superb accommodation, beautiful setting, and so good to have an enclosed garden for our greyhound to enjoy. Robert and Fiona are excellent hosts. Thank you both.

User

We are just back from 2 fantastic weeks in Mill Cottage. Fiona and Robert are superb hosts. The Cottage is superb, in a great location and equipped with everything you would ever need for a relaxing holiday. Thanks for a great fortnight and looking forward to our next visit.

User

This was our first time staying at Moray cottages, it certainly won't be the last, the cottage was beautiful, imaculate and very well equipped, Rob and Fiona are lovely lovely people, lily loved the huge garden. It was so nice to be able to relax letting her run around, knowing she couldn't escape, the garden was extremely secured.

User

This is our third visit to these cottages and as ever, they felt like home from home. The cottages are in a great location, really clean and well appointed with everything we need but best of all it is great to know how welcome the dogs are. The dogs can roam in the large well fenced garden and sleep in front of the fire and there are plenty of places we can explore with them. Thank you to Robert & Fiona for being such good hosts. We hope to be back in 2017.

User
