Throughout Moray, individuals, clubs and sports are being held back by lack of facilities, access and coaches. Obesity, diabetes, physical inactivity and social isolation are a growing problem across Moray and Scotland.

Moray Sports Foundation, the Charity behind the Moray Sports Centre is an independent charity dedicated to assisting and reversing these trends.

The number of people taking part in sport and physical activity across Moray is considerably lower when compared to other areas of Scotland. With the construction of the sports centre and the activities we provide, it will present great opportunities to reverse this trend and improve our social connectivity.

Our Vision:
Moray to be one of the highest ranks in Scotland for health, sport and activities.

Our Mission:
• To motivate and inspire the people of Moray to achieve more as individuals and communities, through the power of sport.
• We will achieve the broadest possible impact on our community by working in partnership with health, education and other sectors to establish service need. In doing so we will become a leader of the third sector in Moray.
• To encourage physical activity, healthy lifestyles and sports, whatever your level.
• Our reputation is key. We will be known for customer service and for delivering results for all our customers. We will measure performance in order to improve. We will become the chosen provider for individuals, and private, public and third sector operators.

Operating objectives:
• A financially sustainable centre.
• The creation of 150 jobs.

As the centre is being proposed by a charity, the centre is heavily reliant on donations and funding from private funds and foundations, corporate sponsorship and also the general public through fundraising and legacy gifts. Each and every one of us can play a part in this centre and even a small donation from families can make a huge difference. Sandy Adam is committed to match funding donations from national bodies and private trusts and foundations.
