Due to the success of this year’s Moray Walking & Outdoor Festival and aspiration to develop and promote the Moray Way, the Moray Way Association is expanding. If you would like to be part of this new development and would like to know more about becoming a stakeholder or trustee, please email info@moraywalkoutdoorfest.co.uk

For those of you who attended the 'Into The Moutain' talk at the Festival in June, Simone Kenyon's project is gathering pace. Running up to a performance in May 2019, Simone is running a number of workshops about her experiences of developing a project exploring and celebrating women's+ relationships with high and wild places. There's still spaces on the workshop below and if you want to know more about the project and other events they can be found on the offical website: www.intothemountain.co.uk

Laich o' Moray 50 Mile Challenge update

The North West Grampian LDWA were using parts of the Moray Way for their 50 mile challenge last weekend. If you're up to a very long walking challenge, their main event on the same route is on the w/e of 6 & 7th October. 60 booked on so far, but plenty of places left if you think you can do 52 miles (It's about 52 to make sure it's defiantly over 50, no matter what method of measurement is used)

Anyone up for an 11 mile walk on the Dava Moor?

2018 Festival Photograph Winner!
Kevin Anderson of Riding High took this "wow moment" photograph of participant Carol-Anne Phimister and some photobombing dolphins. As Kevin was one of the Festival Event Leaders, he asked that Carol-Anne should be the one who wins the Jessops printed canvas prize. The photograph was liked hundreds of times online as well as being picked up by The Sun newspaper. Thank you, Kevin and well-done Carol-Anne!

Such a shame that someone thinks a sculpture on the Dava Way path is fair game for vandalism. I'm guessing this was not a lover of the great outdoor! Most, if not all genuine path users enjoy and respect the efforts the the Dava Way Association have put into maintaining and improving this path. If anyone knows who is responsible for this, please message the Dava Way Association.

A new refreshment stop for all you cyclists and walkers if your route goes through Rafford on a Saturday!

Here are the finalists for this year's Photo Competition! All you have to do is like the photo you think deserves to win our Jessops Inverness prize of printed canvas. Voting will finish on Sunday 29 July. Thank you all for the great shots and lovely #memories.
