Members of the CCF have recently had their Biennial Inspection. This gives a Reviewing Officer from the Army a chance to visit the Contingent and learn about the activities our pupils have enjoyed. This year the Deputy Colonel Cadets of 51 (Scottish) Infantry Brigade, Lt Col Sarah Rawlings visited. She was given an initial briefing by the Contingent Commander and then an in-depth account of participating in the UK Cadet exchange to Canada by Christopher Dawe. She then was hos...ted by our Cadet Sergeant Major, Jessica Martin, as she observed training at Dallerie. This year the activities were organised by a former pupil, Marcus Reid (2013), who is serving as a Signaller with 45 Commando Royal Marines. The Marines ran a number of events such as navigation, judging distance, a challenging fitness session, an introduction to modern communications equipment, a chance to learn about Marcus's career and a hands-on session with some of the weaponry used by the Marines. Lt Col Rawlings left with a positive impression of cadets and we look forward to receiving her formal report in the future.
