Whoops, forgot I had Facebook... Here's a recent one, from the top of the Talisker road. The new telegraph poles don't exactly add to the ambience, so they're best avoided...
It got bitterly cold, but a decent sunset did materialise yesterday evening. This is Coire Lagan, coming down from the Great Stone Chute. I'm not going there today!
To anybody wondering why I've shared several posts the last few hours - I haven't. I don't know how they popped up, why there are 3 of each, spread over several hours. Maybe it's my guardian hacker wanting to encourage sales, or maybe I'm sleepwalking (seeing as I was definitely away in dream land at 5am). The vagaries of Facebook....
Whilst on Lewis & Harris, Luskentyre Beach is another definite. So, can't miss that out, here you go. I might post something a bit less photographed tomorrow. Feel free to share
As you can tell, I've been busy in Lewis & Harris. No trip there should exclude the Callanish Stones, so here you go. Feel free to share.
The mountains of Wester Ross from Harris
Mangurstadh sea stacks on the Isle of Lewis. A very treacherous approach to this location, but the views were worth it. Feel free to share.
Over the sea to Harris
Our little climbing party at Sarclet, Caithness
Probably the most ludicrously placed harbour in Scotland, Whaligoe is no longer in use. Little wonder, once you have negotiated this access.... The steps are still maintained by volunteers, but people have been known to fall off them when it's wet.
The Old Man being very moody
One I did a while back, Dyrhólaey in Iceland
Panorama from the top of Sgurr na Banachdich yesterday. The snow has mainly gone, but the views are still there
The Loch Ness monster escaped for the day, and made a surprise visit. Welcome, Nessie!
A friendly little rainbow....
Time for a bit of marketing. Please buy my book :)
As it turns out, it seems as if we also have geysers on Skye. Now we just need a few active volcanoes to compete with Iceland.
